Crown Land in Gisborne Land District set apart for the Purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be, and the same are hereby, set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT—UAWA COUNTY
SECTIONS 6 and 7, Block IX, Tolaga Bay Township, situated in Block XII, Uawa Survey District : Area, 2 roods. (S.O. 248.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of February, 1948.

Crown Land set apart as a Provisional State Forest

A PROCLAMATION
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.
SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, Waimea County, containing by admeasurement 913 acres, more or less, being Section 33, Block XVI, Mount Arthur Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 102/15, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Nelson S.O. plan 7505.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of February, 1948.

Revocation of the Reservation of a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter designated the said land), is an area of 9 acres 1 rood 28 perches, more or less, set apart for the purposes of a permanent State forest by Proclamation dated the twenty-eighth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, and published in the Gazette of the thirtieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine;
And whereas the said land is not now required for the purpose of a State forest and it is desirable and expedient that its reservation for the purpose be revoked:
And whereas, in accordance with the provisions of section nineteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, the Legislative Council and the House of Representatives have by resolutions each passed on the thirty-first day of October and the twenty-fifth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, respectively, agreed to the reservation over the said land being revoked:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Forests Act, 1921-22, do declare that the reservation over the said land for the purposes of a State forest is hereby revoked.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—CANTERBURY CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Amuri County, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 1 rood 28 perches, more or less, and being Reserve 4312, situated in Block XIV, Mandamus Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 128/23, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of February, 1948.

Revocation of the Reservation of a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter designated the said land) is portion of an area of five hundred and twenty-four acres acquired for the purposes of a permanent State forest, referred to in a notice dated the twelfth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and published in the Gazette of the nineteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, at page 579:
And whereas the said land is not now required for the purposes of a State forest, and it is desirable and expedient that its reservation for the purpose be revoked:
And whereas, in accordance with the provisions of section nineteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, the Legislative Council and the House of Representatives have by resolutions passed on the thirty-first day of October and the twenty-fifth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, respectively, agreed to the reservation over the said land being revoked:

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—ROTORUA CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Rotorua County, containing by admeasurement 173 acres 3 roods 35 perches, more or less, and being part of Section 19, Block XIV, Rotorua Survey District, and bounded as follows : Towards the north-east by Okoheriki 1D 6B Block; towards the south by part of Okoheriki 1D 6A Block (provisional State forest—Gazette, 1920, page 2116) for a distance of 5808·7 links; towards the west by the other part of Section 19, Block XIV aforesaid, by a line bearing 360°, 3281·9 links; and towards the north-west by Section 22, Block XV, Rotorua Survey District, for a distance of 3123·0 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 38/61, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of February, 1948.

Amending an Order in Council reapportioning Representation on the Tauranga Electric-power Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of February, 1948
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby amend the Order in Council dated the fifth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, and published in the Gazette on the sixth day of the same month, at page 1746, revoking previous Orders in Council and reapportioning representation on the Tauranga Electric-power Board by adding to the Schedule thereto the constituent district of the Borough of Te Puke; and, further, doth hereby determine that the said constituent district of the Borough of Te Puke shall have one representative on the Tauranga Electric-power Board, the total number of members of which is consequently increased to eight ; and doth further determine that the first election of the representative of the said constituent district of the Borough of Te Puke shall be held on Wednesday, the seventeenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.
