SUPPLEMENT
TO THE
NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

The Potatoes (Transportation) Order 1948, No. 1
Pursuant to powers conferred on the Primary Industries Controller by the Primary Industries Emergency Regulations 1939,* and duly delegated to me by the said Controller, I, Keith Bell Longmore, the Acting-Director of the Internal Marketing Division of the Marketing Department, do hereby order and direct as follows:

This Order may be cited as the Potatoes (Transportation) Order 1948, No. 1, and shall come into force on the 11th day of February, 1948.

This Order applies to the following railway-stations:—
(a) Every station between Levin and Taumarunui (not inclusive) on the Auckland–Wellington Main Trunk railway-line:
(b) Every station between Marton and Fordell (both inclusive) on the Wellington–New Plymouth railway-line:
(c) Every station between Palmerston North and Woodville (both inclusive) on the Wellington–Palmerston North–Woodville railway-line:
(d) Every station between Palmerston North and Foxton (both inclusive) on the Palmerston North–Foxton railway-line. -
While this Order continues in force no person shall, except with the permission of an officer of the Internal Marketing Division of the Marketing Department, consign any potatoes for carriage by rail, or cause any potatoes to be so consigned, from any station to which this Order applies to any place not being a station to which this Order applies.

Declaring Portion of Railway Land near Repongaere to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION
In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 1 acre 2 roods 19 perches. Being part Railway land in Proclamation 230, being formerly part Section No. 63A of Block IV, Patutahi Survey District. Situated in Cook County. (S.O. 993.)
In the Gisborne Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9139, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of February, 1948.

Crown Land set apart as a Provisional State Forest

A PROCLAMATION
By virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.
SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON CONSERVANCY
All that area in the Nelson Land District, Buller County, containing by admeasurement 324 acres 1 rood 34 perches, more or less, being part of Section 11, Block I, Inangahua Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north-east by provisional State forest (Gazette, 1926, page 1100); towards the east by provisional State forest (Gazette, 1920, page 2116); towards the south-east and partly towards the south by scenic reserve (Gazette, 1907, page 1236); again towards the south by part of Sections 1 and 2, Block I aforesaid; towards the west and again towards the south by part of Section 3, Block I aforesaid; again towards the south by part of Section 4, Block I aforesaid; towards the south-west by the other part of Section 11 aforesaid (set apart for the Westport-Inangahua Railway—Gazette, 1941, page 3273); and towards the north-west by a road. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 113/26, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 31st day of January, 1948.
