DEC. 23] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE Price Order No. 956 (Amending Price Order No. 665) (Apples and Pears)

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 956, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 665† (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).
  2. This Order shall come into force on the 27th day of December, 1948.
  3. The First and Second Schedules to the principal Order, as set out in Price Orders Nos. 949* and 934† respectively, are hereby revoked, and the following Schedules substituted therefor:-

“FIRST SCHEDULE
“MAXIMUM WHOLESALE PRICES OF APPLES TO WHICH THIS ORDER APPLIES

  1. (1) Price Orders No. 949* and 934† are hereby revoked.
    (2) The revocation of the said orders shall not affect the liability of any person for any offence in relation thereto committed before the coming into force of this Order.

Price Order No. 958 (Amendment No. 1 of Price Order No. 857) (Malting Barley)

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:-

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 958, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 857* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).
  2. This Order shall come into force on the 27th day of December, 1948.
  3. The principal Order is hereby amended as follows:-
    (a) By inserting after clause 4 the following clause:-

“4. (a) In computing the weight of any lot of barley to which this Order applies the weight of the sacks in which the barley is contained shall be excluded.”
(b) By increasing by 2d. each of the prices per bushel set out in subclause (1) of clause 6.

Price Order No. 959 (Amendment No. 1 of Price Order No. 870) (Barley)

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:-

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 959, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 870* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).
  2. This Order shall come into force on the 27th day of December, 1948.
  3. The principal Order is hereby amended as follows:-
    (a) By inserting after clause 5 the following clause:-

“5A. In computing the weight of any lot of barley to which this Order applies, the weight of the sacks in which the barley is contained shall be excluded.”
(b) By adding to paragraph (f) of subclause (1) and to paragraph (d) of subclause (2) of clause 8 and to paragraph (d) of clause 9 the following proviso:-

“Provided that where any through-store charges have previously been incurred, any subsequent through-store charges shall not in any case exceed 2½d. per bushel irrespective of the date on which the barley was taken into store.”
(c) By adding to subclause (3) of clause 8 the following proviso:-

“Provided that where any charges are incurred pursuant to paragraphs (f) of subclause (1) or paragraph (d) of subclause (2) of clause 8 the amount of any such charges shall be stated separately on the relative invoice.”
(d) By increasing by 2d. each of the prices per bushel set out in subclause (1) of clause 7 and in the table to subclause (1) of clause 8.

Price Order No. 960 (Amendment No. 2 of Price Order No. 858) (White Oats)

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:-

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 960, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 858* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).
  2. This Order shall come into force on the 22nd day of December, 1948.
  3. The principal Order is hereby amended as follows:-
    (a) By inserting after clause 5 the following clause:-

“5A. In computing the weight of any lot of oats to which this Order applies the weight of the sacks in which the oats are contained shall be excluded.”
(b) By adding to paragraph (f) of subclause (1), to paragraph (e) of subclause (2), and to paragraph (c) of subclause (3) of clause 8, and to paragraph (d) of clause 9 the following proviso:-

“Provided that where any through-store charges have previously been incurred any subsequent through-store charges shall not in any case exceed 2½d. per bushel, irrespective of the date on which the oats was taken into store.”
(c) By adding to subclause (4) of clause 8 the following proviso:-

“Provided that where any charges are incurred pursuant to paragraph (f) of subclause (1) or paragraph (e) of subclause (2) or paragraph (c) of subclause (3) of clause 8, the amount of any such charges shall be stated separately on the relative invoice.”
(d) By increasing by 4d. each of the prices per bushel set out in the table to subclause (1) of clause 7, and in the table to subclause (2) of clause 8.
