Commencement Order 1948

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to subsection two of section one of the Family
Benefits (Reciprocity with Great Britain) Act, 1948, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
and declare as follows:β€”

  1. This Proclamation may be cited as the Family Benefits
    (Reciprocity with Great Britain) Act Commencement Order 1948.
  2. The Family Benefits (Reciprocity with Great Britain) Act,
    1948, shall come into force on the first day of December, one
    thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.
    Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
    of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
    of that Dominion, this 26th day of November, 1948.

    Commencement Order 1948

    Benefits (Reciprocity with Northern Ireland) Act, 1948, I,
    Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
    General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
    and declare as follows:β€”
  3. This Proclamation may be cited as the Family Benefits
    (Reciprocity with Northern Ireland) Act Commencement Order
  4. The Family Benefits (Reciprocity with Northern Ireland)
    Act, 1948, shall come into force on the first day of December, one
    thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.

    Altering the Boundaries of the Hawke's Bay and Central Hawke's
    Bay Electric-power Districts

    A PROCLAMATION
    Pursuant to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, I,
    Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
    General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the
    boundaries of the Hawke's Bay and Central Hawke's Bay Electric-
    power Districts by excluding the area described in the First Schedule
    hereto from the Hawke's Bay Electric-power District and including
    such area in the Central Hawke's Bay Electric-power District, and
    by excluding the area described in the Second Schedule hereto from
    the Central Hawke's Bay Electric-power District and including such
    area in the Hawke's Bay Electric-power District, and do hereby
    declare that the altered boundaries of the Hawke's Bay and Central
    Hawke's Bay Electric-power Districts shall be those described in
    the Third and Fourth Schedules hereto, respectively.
    FIRST SCHEDULE
    All that area in the Hawke's Bay County and the Hawke's Bay
    Land District, situated in Block XVI, Maraekakaho Survey District,
    comprising 185 acres, more or less, and bounded as follows: Com-
    mencing at a point in the middle of the Te Aute - Patangata Road
    in line with the western boundary of the Napier-Woodville Railway;
    thence northerly to and along the said western boundary to the
    southern boundary of Papaaruhe 2B Block; thence westerly and
    northerly along the southern and western boundaries of Papaaruhe
    2B and 2A Blocks to the intersection with the southern boundary
    of Papaaruhe 4C Block; thence westerly along that boundary and
    its production to a point in the middle of the Napier-Palmerston
    North State Highway; thence southerly along the middle of that
    highway to a point in line with the southern boundary of Papaaruhe
    4E 1 Block; thence north-westerly, southerly, and north-westerly
    again to and along the said boundary; thence north-westerly
    along the southern boundaries of Papaaruhe 4F and 4G to the inter-
    section with the eastern boundary of Poupoutahi D 7 Block; thence
    south-westerly along the eastern boundaries of Poupoutahi D 7,
    D 5, D 4, and D 3 Blocks to the northern boundary of Lot 29 on
    D.P. 4416, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar
    at Napier; thence south-easterly along that boundary to the western
    boundary of Lot 5 on D.P. 5103, deposited as aforesaid; thence
    south-easterly, north-easterly, south-easterly, and easterly by the
    north-eastern boundary of Lot 5, the north-western boundary of
