EXPLANATORY NOTE
Part III of the Control of Prices Act, 1947, determines the prices that may be charged for goods that are not subject to a Price Order or a special approval. The prices so determined will not apply to the goods mentioned while this exemption remains in force. Notwithstanding the exemption, the goods remain subject to the other provisions of the Act, and though prices may be charged without reference to the Tribunal a sale at a price which is unreasonably high would result in the commission of an offence.
