Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of
section 27 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the lands
described in the said Third Schedule are taken for the settlement of
discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 30th day of
November, 1948, as the date on which the said lands shall be deemed
to be vested in His Majesty the King.
FIRST SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area of twenty (20) acres twenty-four (24) perches, being
Ohanga Block (formerly part Section 56), Block VII, Waitara
Survey District, and being all of the land in certificate of title,
Vol. 91, folio 87 (Taranaki Registry).
All that area of twenty-five (25) acres, being Section 97, Block
VII, Waitara Survey District, and being all of the land in certificate
of title, Vol. 94, folio 122 (Taranaki Registry).
All that area of twenty-five (25) acres, being Section 60, Block
VII, Waitara Survey District, and being all of the land in certificate
of title, Vol. 129, folio 68 (Taranaki Registry) (limited as to parcels
and title).
All that area of sixty-two (62) acres two (2) roods, being
Sections 61, 62, 63, 64, and 65, Block VII, Waitara Survey District,
and being all of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 129, folio 92
(Taranaki Registry) (limited as to parcels and title).
All that area of one hundred (100) acres, being Sections 77, 78,
79, 87; 89, 90, 93, and 95, Block VII, Waitara Survey District, and
being all of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 129, folio 95 (Taranaki
Registry) (limited as to parcels and title).
All that area of twenty-five (25) acres, being Sections 76 and
88, Block VII, Waitara Survey District, and being all of the land
in certificate of title, Vol. 129, folio 98 (Taranaki Registry) (limited
as to parcels and title).
All that area of one hundred and forty-eight (148) acres, being
Sections 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 92, 94, 96, and part 98, Block VII,
Waitara Survey District, and being all of the land in certificate of
title, Vol. 129, folio 99 (Taranaki Registry) (limited as to parcels
and title).
SECOND SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing twenty (20) acres two (2) roods thirty-four
(34) perches, being Ohanga A Block (formerly part Section 56),
Block VII, Waitara Survey District, and being all the land included
in certificate of title, Vol. 107, folio 135 (Taranaki Registry).
All that area containing thirty-seven (37) acres two (2) roods
thirty-six decimal five (36-5) perches, being part Ngatirahiri No. 7J
Block, Block VI, Waitara Survey District, and being all the land
included in certificate of title, Vol. 91, folio 190, other than the part
taken for road by Proclamation No. 882 (Taranaki Registry).
All that area containing fifty (50) acres one (1) rood nine (9)
perches, being part Ngatirahiri No. 7H Block, Block VI, Waitara
Survey District, and being all the land in certificate of title, Vol.
119, folio 245 (Taranaki Registry).
THIRD SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing twenty (20) acres twenty-four (24) perches,
being Ohanga B Block (formerly part Section 56), Block VII,
Waitara Survey District, and being all the land in certificate of title,
Vol. 91, folio 87 (Taranaki Registry).
All that area containing sixty-two (62) acres two (2) roods,
being Sections 61, 62, 63, 64, and 65, Block VII, Waitara Survey
District, and being all the land in certificate of title, Vol. 129, folio
92 (Taranaki Registry) (limited as to parcels and title).
All that area containing twenty-five (25) acres, being Section
60, Block VII Waitara Survey District, and being all the land in
certificate of title, Vol. 129, folio 68 (Taranaki Registry) (limited
as to parcels and title).
All that area containing forty-eight (48) acres, being that part
of Section 98, Block VII, Waitara Survey District, included in
certificate of title, Vol. 129, folio 99 (Taranaki Registry) (limited as
to parcels and title).
All that area containing twenty (20) acres two (2) roods thirty-

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice
Declaring Land Taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Service-
man
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the
Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land
described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the
Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies :
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application
has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application
relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a
discharged serviceman :
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the
Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of
the land, did on the 29th day of July, 1948, make an order determining
the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was
made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any
further time allowed by the Court :
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman
who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His
Majesty's Forces or in any British ship :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of
section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is
taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby
specifies the 1st day of December, 1948, as the date on which the
said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement one hundred and
thirty-two (132) acres two (2) roods thirty-two (32) perches, more or
less, being Section 25, Block X, Umutoi Survey District, and being
also all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol.
459, folio 265 (Wellington Registry).
Also all that area containing by admeasurement five (5) acres
two (2) roods thirty-two (32) perches, more or less, being Sections
34, Block X, Umutoi Survey District, and being also all the land
comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 459, folio 266
(Wellington Registry).

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice
Declaring Lands Taken for the Settlement of Discharged
Servicemen
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 24 of the Servicemen's Settle-
ment and Land Sales Act, 1943, notice was given of the
intention of the Minister of Lands to take under Part II of the
said Act the lands described in the Schedule hereto, and a copy
of the said notice was published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 19
on the 10th day of April, 1947, at page 439:
And whereas an objection was made by the owner in the manner
prescribed by the said Act, objecting to the taking of the said
lands and claiming the right to retain part of the said lands :
And whereas the Minister of Lands did not revoke his notice
of intention to take the said lands :
And whereas the Minister of Lands did not agree to the retention
by the owner of the area specified in the said objection :
And whereas the Minister of Lands did make to the owner an
offer of an area to be retained :
And whereas the owner did not accept the offer of such area
to be retained :
And whereas the owner did withdraw the objection to the taking
of the said lands and did agree to an amended vesting-date :
And whereas the Land Sales Committee did on the 28th day
of September, 1948, make an order determining that the said lands
are farm lands suitable for the settlement of a discharged
serviceman or of two or more discharged servicemen :
And whereas no appeal from the said order was made within
the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time
allowed by the Court :
And whereas the said lands are not the lands of any serviceman
who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of
His Majesty's Forces or in any British ship :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance
of section 27 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said lands
are taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby
specifies the 31st day of March, 1949, as the date on which the said
lands shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

ALL those parcels of land containing by admeasurement two
