Nov. 11] Appointments, Promotions, Resignation, and Retirements of Officers of the New Zealand Military Forces Army Department, Wellington, 9th November, 1948. HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, resignation, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces :— THE ROYAL N.Z. INFANTRY CORPS Territorial Force— The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly's Own)— Edward Frank Dodson (late Flying Officer, R.N.Z.A.F.) to be temp. Lieutenant, with seniority from 2nd September, 1943, and is seconded to the King's College Cadets, Area 1. Dated 1st May, 1948. The Hauraki Regiment— 2nd Lieutenant E. D. Budden ceases to be seconded to the Ngatea District High School Cadets, Area 2, and resigns his commission. Dated 29th October, 1948. The North Auckland Regiment— Captain Eric Harold Blow, from the Retired List, to be temp. Captain, with seniority from 3rd March, 1944, and is seconded to the Whangarei High School Cadets, Area 3. Dated 4th October, 1948. The Waikato Regiment— Donald Nelson to be 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.), and is seconded to the Hamilton High School Cadets, Area 4. Dated 1st June, 1948. The Hawke's Bay Regiment— Captain J. H. Conly, E.D. to be temp. Major, and remains seconded to the Wairarapa College Cadets, Area 5. Dated 19th August, 1948. The Canterbury Regiment— Finlay Ian Mackenzie to be 2nd Lieutenant (on. prob.), and is seconded to the Christchurch Technical College Cadets, Area 10. Dated 11th October, 1948. The Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment— Lieutenant (temp. Capt.) J. Watson, E.D., to be temp. Major, and remains seconded to the Westport Technical High School Cadets, Area 9. Dated 11th October, 1948. THE ROYAL N.Z. ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Regular Force— Lieutenant and Quartermaster (temp. Captain and Quartermaster) S. W. Morris to be Captain and Quartermaster. Dated 1st October, 1948. SUPERNUMERARY LIST, N.Z. REGULAR FORCE Major and Quartermaster C. H. Kidman, M.B.E., M.M., is posted to the Retired List. Dated 31st October, 1948. Lieutenant and Quartermaster E. J. Haybyrne is posted to the Retired List. Dated 28th October, 1948. RESERVE OF OFFICERS The North Auckland Regiment— Lieutenant-Colonel C. S. White, O.B.E., V.D., is posted to the Retired List with the rank of Colonel. Dated 29th October, 1948. N.Z. Army Nursing Service— Sister D. M. Ballantyne (née Robertson) is posted to the Retired List. Dated 29th October, 1948. Supplementary List— James Richards Cunningham Woods-Humphery (late Captain, Royal Army Service Corps) to be Captain. Dated 6th October, 1948. OFFICER CEASING TO BE SECONDED TO THE 2ND NEW ZEALAND EXPEDITIONARY FORCE Sister E. J. Grant, N.Z. Army Nursing Service, and is reposted to the Territorial Force with the rank of Sister, with seniority from 10th May, 1946. Dated 24th September, 1948. OFFICERS STRUCK OFF THE STRENGTH OF THE 2ND NEW ZEALAND EXPEDITIONARY FORCE Captain C. C. Draper, M.B., Ch.B., and is posted to the Retired List. Dated 6th August, 1948. Captain A. W. Henry, and is posted to the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List. Dated 19th October, 1948. With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 49, dated 9th September, 1948, relative to the Rev. A. A. G. Honorary Consul of the Netherlands at Auckland Appointed Ministry of External Affairs, Wellington, 26th October, 1948. HIS Excellency the Governor-General directs it to be notified that His Majesty's Exequatur empowering Cecil Sidney Owen Hughes, Esquire, to act as Honorary Consul of the Netherlands at Auckland has been issued. W. NASH, Acting Minister of External Affairs. Honorary Consul of Denmark at Christchurch Appointed Ministry of External Affairs, Wellington, 26th October, 1948. HIS Excellency the Governor-General directs it to be notified that His Majesty's Exequatur empowering Alan Clifford Perry, Esquire, to act as Honorary Consul of Denmark at Christchurch has been issued. W. NASH, Acting Minister of External Affairs. Member of the Southern Hawke’s Bay Rabbit Board Appointed.(Notice No. Ag. 4565) Department of Agriculture, Wellington, 4th October, 1948. HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased, in pursuance of section 56 of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, to appoint, on the 1st day of November, 1948— Spencer Speedy to be a member of the Southern Hawke’s Bay Rabbit Board, vice Ronald Robert Stewart, deceased. EDWARD CULLEN, Minister of Agriculture. Waterfront Industry Emergency Regulations 1946.—Appointment of Member of Timaru Port Committee PURSUANT to the Waterfront Industry Emergency Regulations 1946, the Minister of Labour doth hereby appoint Sydney Dicko Dallard to be a member of the Port Committee for the Port of Timaru, vice Gordon Leslie Sirett, resigned, for a term expiring on 30th April, 1949. Dated at Wellington, this 4th day of November, 1948. A. McLAGAN, Minister of Labour. Appointment of an Honorary Fishery Officer IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1946, I, Frederick Hackett, Minister of Marine, do hereby appoint Sydney Stephen Wells, of Ruawai, to be an Honorary Fishery Officer for the purposes of Part I of the Fisheries Act, 1908, to hold office until the 31st day of March, 1950.
