Directing Application of Moneys Received in Respect of the Rimu
Domain, Westland Land District, for the Purposes of the Wood-
stock Domain

At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of
November, 1948
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General In Council
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities con-
ferred by section sixty-one of the Public Reserves, Domains,
and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby direct that from the moneys received in respect of the
Rimu Domain, described in the First Schedule hereto, and at the
date hereof lying to the credit of the said domain, a sum not exceeding
twenty-five pounds shall be applied in managing, administering,
and improving the Woodstock Domain described in the Second
Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.—RIMU DOMAIN
RESERVE 356, Block V, Kanieri Survey District: Area, 5 acres
0 roods 19 perches, more or less.*
SECOND SCHEDULE
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WOODSTOCK DOMAIN
RESERVE 1161, Block V, Kanieri Survey District: Area, 3 acres
3 roods 28 perches, more or less.

WHEREAS the land described in the First Schedule hereto
forms part of a reserve duly set apart for road purposes:
And whereas it is expedient that the said land should be exchanged
for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, which the
Governor-General deems of equal value and more suitable for the
purposes of the reserve:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by
section eight of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks
Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the land described in the
First Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in
the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF PART OF RESERVE AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED
North Auckland Land District
ALL that area in the City of Auckland situated in Block X,
Rangitoto Survey District, containing by admeasurement 36·4
perches, more or less, being Lot 3 as shown on the plan numbered
35337, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at
Auckland, being part of Allotments 19 and 20, District of Tamaki.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
L. and S. 6/1/748, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington and thereon edged red.
SECOND SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR
North Auckland Land District
ALL that area in the City of Auckland situated in Blocks IX and X,
Rangitoto Survey District, containing by admeasurement 36·4
perches, more or less, being Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered
35337, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at
Auckland, being part of Allotments 19 and 20, District of Tamaki.

Recreation Reserve in the Canterbury Land District Brought Under
Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks
Act, 1928

At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of
November, 1948

His Excellency The Governor-General In Council
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the
thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve
for recreation in the Canterbury Land District described in the
Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the
operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II
of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the
Omihi Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as
a public domain.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
RESERVE 4545 (formerly Lot 2, D.P. 13899, being part Rural
Section 7538), Block XVIII, Waikari Survey District: Area,
9 acres 1 rood, more or less.

Restricting the Grant and Disposal of Mining Privileges Over Certain
Lands in the Hauraki Mining District

November, 1948

His Excellency The Governor-General In Council
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
section thirty-four of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1940,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare
that from and after the date hereof no mining privileges shall be
granted or transferred in respect of the lands described in the
Schedule hereto without the previous written consent of the Minister
of Mines.

Wanganui, Exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the
Public Works Act, 1928, Subject to a Condition as to the Building-

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of
November, 1948
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General In Council
PURSUANT to section one hundred and twenty-eight of the
Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the
Wanganui City Council on the twenty-first day of September, one
thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, in so far as it affects the
side and portion of street described in the Schedule hereto, viz.—
"The Wanganui City Council, being the local authority
having the control of streets in the City of Wanganui, by
resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred
and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not
apply to that portion of street known as Pehi Street adjoining
Lot 19 on Deeds Plan 117, a distance of 158·5 links";
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall
at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-western side
of the portion of Pehi Street (described in the Schedule hereto)
within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said
portion of street.
