Officers Authorized to Attest Signatures of Maoris to Instruments Under the Chattels Transfer Act, 1924

Pursuant to section five hundred and forty-seven of the Maori Land Act, 1931, 1, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that
Alec Janson McCallum, Building Supervisor, Christchurch, Wi Pere Amaru, Maori Welfare Officer, Ruatoria, and Moanaroa Raureti, Maori Welfare Officer, Wairoa,
being officers in the service of the Crown, are authorized to attest, in accordance with the provisions of the said section five hundred and forty-seven, the signatures of Maoris to instruments by way of security within the meaning of the Chattels Transfer Act, 1924.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 1st day of November, 1948.

Pursuant to section two hundred and sixty-eight of the Maori Land Act, 1931, 1, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that
Alec Janson McCallum, Building Supervisor, Christchurch, Wi Pere Amaru, Maori Welfare Officer, Ruatoria, and Moanaroa Raureti, Maori Welfare Officer, Wairoa,
being officers in the service of the Crown, are authorized to attest, in accordance with the provisions of the said section two hundred and sixty-eight, the signatures of Maoris to instruments of alienation of Maori land.

Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, 1, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Land Temporarily Reserved in the Gisborne Land District

Whereas by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral licence, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve the land in the Gisborne Land District, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a primary education endowment.
SCHEDULE
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT
All that area in the Cook County, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods ll perches, more or less, being Section 163, Patutahi Rural, Block IV, Patutahi Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 20/699/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. Notice of Intention to Issue an Order in Council Revoking the Reservation for Recreation Purposes over a Reserve in Block I, Ngaere Survey District, Taranaki Land District

Whereas by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), it is provided that the Governor-General may, from time to time, by Order in Council, revoke the reservation over any public reserve or part thereof, and thereupon the land comprised therein shall, if vested in the Crown or in any local authority, or trustees deriving title from the Crown, become Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for recreation purposes but is not required for that purpose, and it is expedient to revoke the reservation over the said land:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby give notice, pursuant to subsection two of section seven of the said Act, that it is my intention to issue an Order in Council under the provisions of subsection one (b) of section seven of the said Act declaring that the reservation for recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be revoked.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
All that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 10.96 perches, more or less, being part Section 36, Block I, Ngaere Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. l/1107/4, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. plan 7847.)
