Authorizing the Exchange of Portion of a Reserve in Town of Alexandra, Otago Land District, for Other Land

At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of November, 1948
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council
WHEREAS the land described in the First Schedule hereto is portion of a reserve duly set apart for an endowment in aid of the borough funds for the benefit of the Borough of Alexandra : And whereas it is expedient that the said land should be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, which the Governor-General deems of equal value and more suitable for the purposes of the reserve:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section eight of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF PORTION OF RESERVE AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED
Otago Land District
ALL that area in the Borough of Alexandra, containing by admeasurement 5.38 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 6262, and being part of Section 12, Block XIV, Town of Alexandra, and being also part of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 106, folio 108 (Otago Registry). As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/2960A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
SECOND SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR
Otago Land District
ALL that area in the Borough of Alexandra, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 32.72 perches, more or less, being Lots 2 and 3 on Deposited Plan 6413, and being part of Section 8, Block XXXVII, Town of Alexandra, and being also all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 329, folio 51 (Otago Registry). As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/2960B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Revoking the Reservation over Reserves in Te Araroa Maori Township Gisborne Land District

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for courthouse purposes over the land described in the First Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby revoke the reservation for police purposes over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby declare that the said lands, being vested in the Crown, are Crown lands available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

Recreation Reserves in North Auckland Land District Brought under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserves for recreation in the North Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such reserves shall hereafter be known as the Pine Island Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL those areas in Blocks VI and VII, Waitemata Survey District, containing by admeasurement a total of 5 acres 2 roods 25.1 perches, more or less, being Lots 108, 109, 117, 120, 164, 178, 247, and 248, as shown on the plan numbered 31409, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, Lot 1, as shown on the plan numbered 31681, deposited as aforesaid, Lot 20, as shown on the plan numbered 33203, deposited as aforesaid, all lots being parts of Allotments 15 and 15A on Herald Island in the Paremoremo Parish. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked L. and S. 1/1060 and 1/1060A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Domain Board Appointed to Have Control of the Huirangi Domain

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint Robert Percy Honnor, Lawrence Roy Mace, and Sydney Osborne to be the Huirangi Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the twenty-fifth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, at eight o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Huirangi Hall as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
