At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 20th day of October, 1948
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act, 1923, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby licence and permit Akaroa Boat Builders, Limited, of Akaroa (hereinafter called the company), which term shall include its successors and assigns, unless the context requires a different construction, to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Boatslip Bay, Akaroa Harbour, as shown on plan marked M.D. 8767, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining a boat-slip thereon as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the company upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
- This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
- The term of the licence shall be fourteen years from the 1st day of October, 1948.
- The premium payable by the company shall be two pounds ten shillings (£2 10s.), and the annual sum so payable by the company shall be two pounds ten shillings (£2 10s.).

Authorizing James Florence McAuliffe, of Murchison, Farmer, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity and to Erect and Use Electric Lines

NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby grant to James Florence McAuliffe, of Murchison, Farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), a licence subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to take and use from an unnamed stream (hereinafter referred to as the said stream) situated in Section 4, Block XVI, Matiri Survey District, in the Land District of Nelson, for the purposes hereinafter set forth, a stream of water not exceeding 1.2 cubic feet per second at any one time, and to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines hereinafter described.
CONDITIONS - IMPLIED CONDITIONS
THE conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Water-power Regulations 1934 and the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof. - LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
This licence is issued under the Water-power Regulations 1934, and is subject thereto and to the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, and the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and to any regulations made or to be made in amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor. - UTILIZATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS
Water shall be used under this licence solely for the purpose of generating electricity up to a maximum capacity of 1 kilowatt and shall be taken from the said stream at the point in Section 4, Block XVI, Matiri Survey District, indicated on the plan marked S.H.D. 47, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department. - GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
The licensee is hereby authorized, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purposes of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan S.H.D. 47:-
(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake with a water-race and pipe-line leading to the power-house, hereinafter referred to, giving a static head of approximately 20 ft. :
(b) A Pelton wheel and power-house with all necessary equipment for generating electricity, situated in Section 4, Block XVI, Matiri Survey District :
(c) A tail-race leading from the aforesaid power-house to the Upper Mangels River :
(d) Electric lines leading from the said power-house across Section 4, Block XVI, Matiri Survey District, and across the Upper Mangels River to the licensee's dwelling situated in the said Section 4. - SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be classified under paragraph (d) of clause 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall be a direct-current system. - DURATION OF LICENCE
Unless sooner determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1969. - RENTAL
For the purpose of assessing the annual rental payable in respect of this licence, the licensee may install a suitable maximum-demand indicator to the satisfaction of the Inspecting Engineer of the State Hydro-electric Department, and, failing such installation, the rental shall be assessed on the maximum generating capacity of the plant installed. The present plant is rated at 1 kilowatt.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section ninety-two of the Milk Act, 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby approve the Westport United Dairies, Limited, as the Supply Association for the Buller Milk District.

The South Taranaki Milk District Constitution Order 1948

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of October, 1948
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Milk Act, 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order and declare as follows :- - This Order may be cited as the South Taranaki Milk District Constitution Order 1948.
- Those parts of New Zealand consisting of the Borough of Hawera, the Borough of Patea, the County of Hawera, and the Town District of Manaia are hereby constituted and declared a milk district under the Milk Act, 1944, as from the eighth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, with the name of the “South Taranaki Milk District”.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Milk Act, 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order and declare as follows :- - This Order may be cited as the Nelson Milk District Constitution Order 1946, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Nelson Milk District Constitution Order 1946* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).
- Clause two of the principal Order is hereby amended by inserting, after the words “Borough of Richmond”, the words “the Borough of Motueka”.
- Clause four of the principal Order is hereby amended by inserting, after the words “Richmond Borough Council”, the words “the Motueka Borough Council”.
- Clause five of the principal Order is hereby amended by omitting the word “three”, and substituting the word “four”, and also by inserting, after the words “Richmond Borough Council”, the words “the Motueka Borough Council”.
- The Schedule to the principal Order is hereby amended by inserting, after the words “Borough of Richmond (New Zealand Gazette, 1917, page 4194)”, the words “the Borough of Motueka (New Zealand Gazette, 1939, page 2175)”.
