Decisions of the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the authority conferred on the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936, the following decisions have been made in respect of applications for licences.

For a licence to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed outside proposed garage and service-station premises at the junction of the Kingston-Queenstown and Cromwell-Queenstown Roads, Frankton. Declined 13th Sept., 1948.
V. Hughes, Fairy Springs Road, Koutu, Rotorua For a variation of existing motor-spirits retail licence (in respect of one inside pump) to permit removal of the pump to a site outside garage premises and in view of passing motorists. Granted (subject to the condition that the licensee operates a bona fide motor-repair service to the satisfaction of the Bureau) 13th Sept., 1948.
F. R. Wilkins, Ltd., 166 Balmoral Road, Mount Eden, Auckland Manufacture of Footwear
For extension of its existing licence permitting the manufacture of (a) children’s shoes, sizes 0’s to 6’s, 7’s to 10’s, 11’s to 1’s, and 2’s to 5’s; (b) matrons’ shoes by the fair-stitched and cemented processes, to include the manufacture by the machine-sewn process. Declined 13th Sept., 1948.

Pharmacy Industry

O. E. Coombridge, 18 Telford Terrace, Oriental Bay, Wellington, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at Plimmerton.

D. G. Croot, 123 West End Road, Westmere, Auckland, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at 586 Sandringham Road, Sandringham, Auckland.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

B. D. Williamson, 398 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from four pumps to be installed on proposed new service-station premises at the corner of Page’s Road and Woodham Road Extension, Christchurch.

Tararua Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., Ballance, Pahiatua, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on dairy factory premises at Ballance, Pahiatua.

F. C. Platt, 281 Tuam Street, Christchurch, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed in the open yard of garage premises known as “Platts Motors,” 281 Tuam Street, Christchurch.

A. G. H. Laing, General Storekeeper, Pukeatua, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on store premises at Pukeatua.

M. J. Oliver, P.O. Box 210, Dannevirke, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed outside store premises at Oringi.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 14th October, 1948, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
