I, JOE JAMES NEUSTROSKI, of Whangamomona, Railway
Employee, at times known as JOE JAMES NEWSTROWSKI,
hereby give public notice that by a deed-poll bearing date the 6th
day of September, 1948, and about to be enrolled in the Supreme
Court of New Zealand at New Plymouth, I have formally and
absolutely renounced and abandoned the use of the said surname of
NEWSTROWSKI and have assumed and adopted and have determined
henceforth on all occasions to use and subscribe the surname of
NEUSTROSKI and not the said surname of NEWSTROWSKI, and to be
at all times hereafter called, known, and described by the surname
of NEUSTROSKI accordingly.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PUBLIC notice is hereby given of a resolution of the Mount
Roskill Borough Council of 7th September, 1948, making
a special rate as security for the annual charges on a loan of
£33,000 for sewer-drainage purposes :

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Mount Roskill
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :-

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £33,000, authorized to be raised by the Mount
Roskill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for
sewer-drainage reticulation of a special area, the said Mount
Roskill Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate
of 4½ pence in the pound on the unimproved rateable value of all
rateable property in the special rating area described below :-
