SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY
Pebby Hills Rural Fire District
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Southland County, containing approximately 9,950 acres, situated in Blocks I, VI, and VII, Lindhurst Hundred, Block II, Lothian Hundred, Block I, Mabel Hundred, and Blocks III and IV, Forest Hill Hundred, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north-west and north-east by the Hedgehope Stream; towards the east by the eastern side of a public road forming portion of the western boundaries of Sections 34 and 35, Block I, Lindhurst Survey District, by the crossing of a public road, again by a public road, and the crossing of a public road; thence by a right line due south to the Titipua Stream, by that stream to the north-western corner of Section 30, Block II, Lothian Hundred, and thence by the said Section 30; towards the south generally by Sections 10 and 9, Block II, Lothian Hundred, and Sections 4, 9, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30, Block I, Mabel Hundred; and towards the west by Section 41, Block I, Mabel Hundred, the Titipua Stream, Lots 3, 2, and 1 on L.T. plan 1494; and thence by a right line due north across Pebby Hill Road and through Lots 3 and 2 on L.T. plan 838 to the Hedgehope Stream. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 212/8, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of September, 1948
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act, 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby constitute and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a rural fire district, to be known as the “Riverhead Rural Fire District,” as from the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight; and doth hereby specify the trees and other plants on the State forests in the said area as the property for the protection of which the district is constituted; and doth hereby specify the period between the first day of October in any one year and the thirtieth day of April in the following year (both days inclusive) as a closed fire season in the said district; and doth hereby prescribe that the said Riverhead Rural Fire District shall be administered by the Commissioner of State Forests for the purposes of the said Act.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY
Riverhead Rural Fire District
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Waitemata County, containing approximately 20,900 acres, situated in Block XV, Kaipara Survey District, Blocks XIII and XIV, Waiwera Survey District, Blocks IV and VII, Kumeu Survey District, and Blocks I, II, V, and VI, Waitemata Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the east by Allotment 285, Pukeatua Parish, Lots 1 and 2 on L.T.P. 19663, being Allotment 58, Paremoremo Parish, by Allotment 71 on L.T.P. 913, and Allotment 57, Paremoremo Parish, to the eastern side of Sunnyside Road; thence by the eastern side of that road and the eastern side of the Riverhead—Albany Road; towards the south-east generally by the eastern side of the last-mentioned road, to and across the Rangitopuni Stream to its junction with a public road running north-west; thence by the southern and eastern sides of that road to the Kumeu—Riverhead Road, and by the eastern side of that road to the Old North Road; generally towards the south by the southern side of the Old North Road and the south-eastern side of Oraha Road to the Kumeu River; towards the south-west by the right bank of the Kumeu River to the south-eastern corner of Lot 5 on L.T.P. 19511, being part of Allotment 50, Paremoremo Parish; towards the west by Lot 5 on L.T.P. 19511 aforesaid, and the crossing of a public road; towards the north-west by the northern side of the Old North Road; thence by Allotment 49, Paremoremo Parish, and by the Ararimu Stream; towards the south-west by Allotment 61, Ararimu Parish, the crossing of a public road, by Allotments 51, S.E. 52, N.W. 52, 55, and 59, Ararimu Parish; thence by a right line from the north-western corner of Allotment 59 aforesaid to the south-eastern corner of Allotment S.E. 34, Ararimu Parish, and by
Allotments S.E. 34 and N.W. 34, Ararimu Parish; towards the north-west by Allotments S.E. 4, S. 5, N. 5, the crossing of a public road, and by Allotment 103, Ararimu Parish; towards the north-east generally by Allotment 1, Pukeatua Parish, and Section 5, Block XV, Kaipara Survey District; towards the north-west by Section 5, Block XV aforesaid, and Allotments 7 and 8, Pukeatua Parish, to and across Ireland's Road, and towards the north-east generally by Sections 3 and 4, Block XIII, Waiwera Survey District, and Allotments E. 32, 31, 28, 39, W. 40, E. 40, 52, 51, N. 45, S. 45, 272, N.W. 270, S.W. 270, N.E. 270, 277, and 279, Pukeatua Parish. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 17/39, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act, 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby constitute and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a rural fire district, to be known as the “Korokoro Rural Fire District,” as from the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight; and doth hereby specify the trees and other plants on land vested in the Petone Borough Council and situated in the said area as the property for the protection of which the district is constituted; and doth hereby specify the period between the first day of November in any one year and the thirty-first day of March in the following year (both days inclusive) as a closed season in the said district; and doth hereby constitute the Petone Borough Council as the rural fire committee of the Korokoro Rural Fire District; and doth hereby prescribe that the said district shall be administered for the purposes of the said Act by the Petone Borough Council.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY
Korokoro Rural Fire District
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing approximately 2,500 acres, situated in Block VIII, Belmont Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north-east by Section 25, Block VIII aforesaid, and Section 40, Normandale Settlement; towards the east by the eastern side of Raro Road; towards the south and again towards the east by the southern and eastern sides of Poto Road; again towards the east by Section 66, Normandale Settlement; again towards the south by Section 10, Block VIII aforesaid; towards the south-east by the south-eastern side of Maungaraki Road; again towards the south by Sections 35 and 34, Maungaraki Settlement; again towards the south-east by the said Section 34 and a public road; again towards the south by Sections 78 and 7, Block XIII, Belmont Survey District; and towards the north-west by Sections 8, 10, 13, 17, 18, and 19, Block VII, Belmont Survey District, and Sections 23 and 36, Block VII aforesaid. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 92/8, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
