APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER-RACE
UNDER THE MINING ACT, 1926
To the Warden of the Otago Mining District at Cromwell.

Pursuant to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned,
THOMAS CLIFFORD MITCHELL, of Cromwell, Insurance Agent,
hereby applies for a licence for a water-race, as specified in the
Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for
the purpose.
Mark on pegs : M.
Precise time of marking out privilege applied for : 23rd August,
1948, at 9 a.m.
Date and number of miner's right : 19th August, 1948; No.
86681.
Address for service: Care of Stevens and Mooney, Solicitors,
Clyde.
Dated at Clyde, this 23rd day of August, 1948.
SCHEDULE
LOCALITY of the race, and of its starting and terminal points; also
description of land traversed—e.g., unalienated Crown land, private
land, or otherwise : Commencing at a point in the Clutha River
on the applicant's property 5 chains above Dead Man's Point,
running thence in a southerly direction a distance of 300 yards and
terminating in the applicant's said freehold property, being Section 3,
Block V, Wakefield Survey District.
Length and intended course of race : 300 yards; southerly.
Point of intake : 5 chains above Dead Man's Point in the Clutha
River.
Estimated time and cost of construction : One month ; £1,200.
Mean depth and breadth : 7 in. pipe-line increasing to 9 in.
Number of heads to be diverted : One head.
Purpose for which water is to be used : Domestic and irrigation.
Proposed term of licence : Twenty-one years.

PARAMOUNT CABINETS, LIMITED
IN LIQUIDATION
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter
of PARAMOUNT CABINETS, LIMITED (in Liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of Paramount Cabinets,
Limited, was held on Monday, the 30th day of August, 1948,
at which a resolution for the voluntary winding-up was passed,
and that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held
in pursuance of section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at the
Pioneers Sports Club Rooms, Gloucester Street, Christchurch, on
Wednesday, the 8th September, 1948, at 2.30 p.m., at which meeting
a full statement of the position of the company's affairs, together
with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims,
will be laid before the meeting, and, in pursuance of section 235
of the said Act, nominate a person to be liquidator of the company,
and, in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, appoint a committee
of inspection.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the above-named company, duly convened and
held at Waverley on the 26th day of August, 1948, the following
