SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement three hundred and ninety-nine (399) acres two (2) roods eleven (11) perches, more or less, being Sections 102 and 103 of Reserve 350, situated in Block IV, Rangitata Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 192, folio 231 (Canterbury Registry).
Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement eighty-seven (87) acres two (2) roods nineteen (19) perches, more or less, being Section 20, Arundel Village Settlement, situated in Block I, Rangitata Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 300, folio 296 (Canterbury Registry).

Economic Stabilization Emergency Regulations 1942.-Wartime Price Index
Census and Statistics Department,
Wellington, 10th August, 1948.
In accordance with Regulation 41 of the Economic Stabilization Emergency Regulations 1942, it is hereby notified that the wartime price index as at the 15th day of June, 1948 (on base: 15th December, 1942 = 1000), was 1110. This figure indicates that, after seasonal adjustment has been made in respect of certain commodities, the prices of which are subject to seasonal movement, the general level of prices of commodities, &c., included in the wartime price index was 11 per cent. higher at 15th June, 1948, than at 15th December, 1942.

Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part III), and Amendments
WHEREAS it has been reported to the Public Trustee that Robert Port, late of Wellington, Merchant, was the owner of the following property, the gross value of which is less than £1,000—namely: Being the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 5, folio 66 (Wellington Registry), and situated in the Manawatu District, being part Allotment 11, Block VIII, Te Awahou, which Allotment 11 is delineated on the public map of the said Block VIII, Awahou Block. Area, 9 perches. Government valuation, 31st March, 1948: Capital, £20.
And whereas the said Robert Port died at Wellington on the 9th day of March, 1881: And whereas probate of the will of the said Robert Port was granted by the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Wellington to William John Port, of Awahou, Pohangina, on the 25th day of March, 1881: And whereas the said William John Port died on the 2nd day of July, 1898: And whereas it is provided by Part III of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (relating to unclaimed property), as amended by section 41 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, that where the value of unclaimed real or personal property does not exceed £1,000 the Public Trustee (with the consent of the Public Trust Office Board) may, by notice in the Gazette, declare his intention to take possession of such property and exercise the powers conferred upon him by section 87 of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, without application to the Court:
And whereas the consent of the Public Trust Office Board has been duly given:
Now, the Public Trustee hereby gives notice that he intends to take possession of the property above mentioned and all other property of the said Robert Port, and to exercise in respect thereof the powers conferred upon him in and by the provisions of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908.
