Price Order No. 913 (Amendment No. 1 of Price Order No. 889)
(Spirits and Beer)

PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of
Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority
of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the
following amending Price Order:—

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 913, and shall be
    read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 889* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 5th day of August,

  3. The principal Order is hereby amended by revoking subclause
    (3) of clause 7, and substituting the following subclause:—

“ (3) On and after the 1st day of August, 1948, every licensee
of licensed premises who has 10 oz. containers available, and on
and after the 1st day of October, 1948, every licensee of licensed
premises shall, unless otherwise required by the customer, serve all
beer, except beer served from its original bottle or beer served in a
lounge or dining-room in 10 oz. containers and any container in
which beer is served shall be filled as nearly as possible to its full
capacity.”

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licences under Part III
of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear

F. R. Wilkins, Ltd., 166 Balmoral Road, Mount Eden, Auckland,
has applied for an extension of its existing licence permitting the
manufacture of (a) children’s shoes, sizes 0–6, 7–10, 11–1, 2–5,
(b) matrons’ shoes by the fair-stitched and cemented processes, to
include the manufacture by the machine-sewn process.

Pharmacy Industry

W. T. Harrison, Brooker’s Road, Otumoetai, Tauranga, has
applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy in Cameron Road,
Tauranga South.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

Vincent Hughes, Fairy Springs Road, Koutu, Rotorua, has
applied for variation of existing licence to permit removal of the
pump from inside the garage premises at Koutu to a site outside
and in view of passing motorists.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be
materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on
these applications should, not later than 19th August, 1948, submit
any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.
All communications should be addressed to Acting-Secretary,
Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
