RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Roads and Bridges Renewal Loan, 1948

THE following resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Raglan County Council held on the 17th December, 1947:

"That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest and other loan charges on a loan of £5,800, authorized to be raised by the Raglan County Council under authority of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1925, for the purpose of repaying principal instalments due on 1st March and 1st July, 1948, in respect of the Roads, Bridges, and Drainage Loan, 1937, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·041d. in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property, comprising the whole of the County of Raglan; such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years until the loan is fully repaid."
