Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licences under Part III
of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
L. F. B. Nicholson (by King, McCaw, and Smith, Barristers
and Solicitors, Hamilton) has applied for a licence to resell motor-
sprit from pumps to be installed outside proposed garage premises to
be erected at the corner of the Orini Road and the Hamilton-Gordon-
ton-Tauhei-Morrisville Highway, between Gordonton and Tauhei.
R. G. Saxton, 104E St. Aubyn Street, Hastings, has applied
for a licence to resell motor-spirit from four pumps to be installed
outside garage and service-station premises in St. Aubyn Street,
Hastings.
Nelson Aero Club (Inc.), Nelson, has applied for a licence to
resell aviation spirit from the Nelson Aerodrome at Tahunanui,
Nelson.
R. Gilmour, Avondale Road, Taradale, has applied for an
amendment of his existing motor-spirit retail licence covering one
inside pump to permit the installation of the pump outside his
garage premises at Avondale Road, Taradale.
The Morningside Timber Co., Ltd., 14 Taylor's Road, Auckland,
has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to
be installed at Pouakani Sawmill, eighteen miles from Mangapehi.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be
materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on
these applications should, not later than 5th February, 1948, submit
any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.
All communications should be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of
Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

Sale of Unclaimed Property
Police Department,

IT is hereby notified that unclaimed property in the hands of
the Police at the various police-stations will, if not claimed
before Saturday, the 14th February, 1948, be sold thereafter by
public auction.
Particulars as to the time and place of sale may be obtained
from the Superintendent or Inspector of Police in charge of the
District.

Town Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable
Lease
District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 14th January, 1948.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is
open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act,
1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and
Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o'clock a.m. on Monday, 23rd
February, 1948.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday, 24th
February, 1948, at 11 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable
to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by
any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required
to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising
the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.
