approve of the following appointments, promotions, relinquishments of temporary rank, relinquishment of commission, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces:

COLONELS' LIST

Russell Gladstone Dick, Esquire, is granted the honorary rank of Colonel, and is appointed Director of Military Mapping, Army Headquarters. Dated 15th December, 1947.

REGULAR FORCE

THE ROYAL N.Z. ARMOURED CORPS

Captain (temp. Major) R. A. Tinker, M.C., M.M., relinquishes the appointment of Block Commander, Burnham Military Camp, and the temporary rank of Major, and is appointed Sub-Area Officer, Area 10, Timaru. Dated 15th January, 1948.

N.Z. REGIMENT

Lieutenant and Quartermaster (temp. Captain and Quartermaster) D. M. Sweeney relinquishes the appointment of General Staff Officer, 3rd Grade, Headquarters, Central Military District, Wellington, and the temporary rank of Captain and Quartermaster. Dated 19th June, 1947.
