commencing at a point in the middle of the Waimakariri River
(now old dry bed of south branch of river) in line with the centre
of the road forming the western boundary of Rural Section 7449,
Block VI, Christchurch Survey District; thence proceeding in a
north-easterly direction along the middle of the said south branch
of that river, along the middle of Stewart’s Gully, and south-
easterly down the middle of the main channel of the Waimakariri
River to the sea; thence southerly generally along mean high-water
mark of the sea to a point in line with the southern side of Beach
Road, being a point on the boundary of the City of Christchurch as
described in the First Schedule hereto; thence generally in a
westerly and southerly direction along that boundary to its
junction with the northern boundary of the Riccarton Borough
(New Zealand Gazette, 1932, page 554); thence proceeding westerly,
northerly, southerly, and south-easterly, generally along the
