ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 16th day of
June, 1948
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public
Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the reservation for religious
bodies (Independents) over the land described in the Schedule
hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested
in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land
Act, 1924.

Regulations under the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Act, 1908

ORDER IN COUNCIL

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
P'URSUANT to the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Act, 1908,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby
make the following regulations.
REGULATIONS
- (1) THESE regulations may be cited as the Explosive and
Dangerous Goods Regulations 1914, Amendment No. 17.
(2) These regulations shall be read together with and form
part of the Regulations relating to Explosive and Dangerous Goods
made under the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Act, 1908, on the
27th day of July, 1914, and published in the Gazette on the 30th
day of July, 1914, at page 2922 (hereinafter called the principal
regulations).
(3) These regulations shall come into force on the 26th day of
June, 1948. - Regulation 162 of the principal regulations is revoked, and
the following substituted:-
“(c) GOVERNMENT MAGAZINES
“162. The following shall be the charges on explosives stored
in Government magazines:-
“On delivery of explosives into a magazine for storage-
“For each package of 50 lb. or less net weight of s. d.
explosive
“For each package of 5,000 or less detonators
“For each package of more than 5,000 detonators .. 2 2
“An additional charge of 7d. shall be made in respect of each
package of 50 lb. or less net weight of explosive and in respect
of each package of 5,000 or less detonators remaining in storage
in any magazine after the expiry of any quarterly period. An
additional charge of 1s. 2d. shall be made in respect of each package
of more than 5,000 detonators remaining in storage after the expiry
of any quarterly period. For the purpose of this regulation quarterly
periods shall end on the 25th March, 25th June, 25th September,
and 25th December in each year.” - Regulations 163 and 164 of the principal regulations are
revoked, and the following substituted:-
“163. Charges for storage shall be due and payable at the
end of each quarterly period.” - Regulation 165 of the principal regulations is revoked, and
the following substituted:-
“165. Arrangements may be made by an Inspector of Explosives
with any person regularly using any magazine for the charges payable
on delivery of explosives to the magazine pursuant to Regula-
tion 162 of these regulations to be paid periodically.” - Regulation 166 of the principal regulations is revoked.
- Regulation 169 of the principal regulations is amended by
deleting the words “Receiver, Dominion Laboratory”, and sub-
stuting the words “Chief Inspector of Explosives”.

Appointing the Transport Appeal Authority under the Transport
Licensing Act, 1931

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by
the Transport Licensing Act, 1931, and section eighty-two of
the Statutes Amendment Act, 1941, His Excellency the Governor-
General doth hereby appoint His Honour Judge Kendrick Gee
Archer, of Wellington, to be the Transport Appeal Authority for
a term commencing on the first day of July, one thousand nine
hundred and forty-eight, and expiring on the thirty-first day of
December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 12th day of June, 1948.

Authorizing Erection of a Public Hall on Stanley Brook Memorial
Domain, Nelson Land District

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred
upon me by subsection one (d) of section fifty-two of the Public
Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the Stanley Brook
Memorial Domain Board to erect a public hall on that portion of
the Stanley Brook Memorial Domain under its control described
in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.-STANLEY BROOK MEMORIAL DOMAIN
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 35.2 perches, more
or less, being part of Section 66, Square 6, situated in Block VIII,
Wangapeka Survey District, and being part of the land comprised
and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 99, folio 15 (Nelson
Registry). As the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked L. and S. 1/1169A, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged
red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
this 16th day of June, 1948.

Increasing Number of Days on which Charges may be made for
Admission to the Taumarunui and Rangaraoa Domain

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section twenty-three of the Public Reserves,
Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir
Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby increase the number of days which may
be prescribed by the Taumarunui and Rangaraoa Domain Board as
days upon which charges may be made, pursuant to section twenty-
one of the said Act, for admission to the domain described in the
Schedule hereto, or to any part thereof set apart for a particular
purpose, from twenty days to thirty days during the year ending
the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-
nine.
SCHEDULE
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-TAUMARUNUI AND RANGAROA DOMAIN
ALL those areas in the Taumarunui Borough and the Taumarunui
County, situated in Block I, Piopiotea Survey District, and
Block XIII, Tuhua Survey District, containing by admeasurement
a total of 179 acres 3 roods 33.6 perches, more or less, being
Sections 3, 16, and 58, Block XIII, Tuhua Survey District; Sec-
tion 1, Block X, Taumarunui Native Township; Section 11 and
part Section 9, Block V, Village of Rangaroa; and Section 12,
Block VI, Village of Rangaroa.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 16th day of June, 1948.
