ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 16th day of
June, 1948
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

URSUANT to section one hundred and twenty-eight of the
Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the
Waitaki County Council on the twenty-seventh day of February,
one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, viz.:-
"That the Waitaki County Council, being the local
authority having control of the roads in the County of Waitaki,
by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred
and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not
apply to the southern side of Frome Street abutting on Lot 14,
Deeds Plan 163, Block I, Oamaru District, being part of the
land comprised in Certificate of Title, Register-book, Volume
237, folio 53 (Otago Registry)",;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall
at any time be erected on the land fronting the southern side of
the portion of Frome Street (described in the Schedule hereto)
within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the
said portion of road.
SCHEDULE
THE southern side of all that portion of road situated in the Otago
Land District, County of Waitaki, known as Frome Street, fronting
Lot 14, Deeds Plan 163, Oamaru Survey District. As the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 127208,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and
thereon coloured red.

General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,

fronting Section 39 and parts Sections 2 and 37, Sawyer's Bay
District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 127248, deposited in the office of the Minister of
Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Appointment of Thorpe Domain Board revoked

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 16th day of
June, 1948
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-seventh
day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven,
and published in the Gazette of the twenty-eighth day of that
month, a Domain Board was appointed to have control of the
Thorpe Domain therein described;
And whereas it appears expedient to revoke the said Order
in Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred by the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks
Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority enabling him in
this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the
aforesaid Order in Council dated the twenty-seventh day of
October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Borough of Levin, Wellington
Land District

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 16th day of
June, 1948
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a
reserve duly set apart for municipal purposes: And whereas
it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land
shall be changed to a reserve for police purposes:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains,
and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose
of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed
from a reserve for municipal purposes to a reserve for police purposes.

SECTION 10, Block I, Town of Levin, situated in Block I, Waiopetu
Survey District : Area, 1 rood, more or less.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 16th day of

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a
reserve for municipal purposes, and is vested in the Mayor,
Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Levin:
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land
as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Levin
Borough Council has duly consented to such cancellation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves,
Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the
vesting in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough
of Levin of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto have
been duly set apart as reserves for recreation purposes:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient
to vest the said reserves in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses
of the Borough of Riccarton:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by
section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks
Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of
the date hereof the reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall
become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the
Borough of Riccarton, in trust, for recreation purposes.
