WAIRARAPA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Wairarapa Electric-power Board Redemption Loan, £7,000, 1948

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Wairarapa Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :

“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of seven thousand pounds (£7,000), authorized to be raised by the Wairarapa Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of redeeming at maturity on the 1st day of August, 1948, the outstanding liability in respect of the Wairarapa Electric-power Board Reticulation Extension Loan, 1937, £25,000 (portion, £12,500), borrowed by the said Board for the purpose of providing additional funds for the further reticulation of the Wairarapa Electric-power District, the said Wairarapa Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fiftieth (1/50th) of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Wairarapa Electric-power District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the above Board held on the 20th day of May, 1948.

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Christchurch City Council held on the 31st day of May, 1948 :-

“ In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows :

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of six thousand five hundred and sixty pounds (£6,560), authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of affecting im-provements to the abattoir accommodation and water-supply, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four hundred and eighty-three fifty-thousandths of a penny (483d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch ; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate and to be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

ROTORUA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Library Bequest Redemption Loan, 1948, £4,850

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Rotorua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :-

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of four thousand eight hundred and fifty pounds (£4,850), authorized to be raised by the Rotorua Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of the Library Bequest Loan, 1937, £8,300, the said Rotorua Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one four five pence (0·145d.) in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Rotorua ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
