✨ Māori Land and Honours Notices
Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936
PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, a certain notice dated the 25th day of January, 1938, and published in Gazette No. 5 of the 27th day of the same month, at page 121, whereby the said land was, inter alia, declared to be subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936, and such land is hereby excluded from the Whareongaonga Development Scheme.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land in the Tairawhiti Maori Land Court District, containing 5 acres 3 roods, more or less, called or known as Whareongaonga O 12, Sub. 5A, and situate in Block I, Part Survey District.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936
PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, a certain notice dated the 13th day of January, 1932, and published in Gazette No. 6 of the 21st day of the same month, at page 115, whereby the provisions of section 522 of the Maori Land Act, 1931 (now Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936), were applied to, inter alia, the said land, and such land is hereby excluded from the Te Kaha Development Scheme.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land in the Waiariki Maori Land Court District, containing 76 acres 0 roods 13 perches, more or less, and called or known as Maungaroa 1, Section 1 (part).

Light established
Position: Southern extreme, Motuara Island. Lat., 41° 06′·2 S.; long., 174° 17′·6 E. (approx.). Chart No. 2685.
Abridged Description: Fl. 10 secs. 75 ft. 14 M. (U.).
Details: A white light (electric) flashing every 10 seconds, thus—flash 0·4 seconds, eclipse 1·6 seconds, flash 0·4 seconds, eclipse 7·6 seconds, will be exhibited on or about 1st July, 1948; from a white steel tubular tower in the above position.
Elevation, 75 ft.; height of tower, 15 ft.; arc uninterrupted.
NOTE.—This light is experimental pending receipt of permanent equipment from England, and masters are requested to forward to Secretary, Marine Department, reports on the behaviour of the light regarding extreme range and visibility.
