Decisions of the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the authority conferred on the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936, the following decisions have been made in respect of applications for licences.

Fish-canning Industry

Brown Barrett (Picton), Ltd., has applied for an extension of its existing licence so as to permit the canning of eels and barracouta.

Fruit-canning Industry

H. J. Walton, Ltd., P.O. Box 458, Christchurch, has applied for a licence to can fruit and vegetables at 73 North Road, Papanui, Christchurch.

Malt Extract Industry

Salmond and Spraggon Ltd., G.P.O. Box 662, Wellington, has applied for a variation of its existing licence on behalf of the company’s principals, Messrs. A. Wander, Ltd., for the removal of the restrictions on the manufacture of malt extract by them.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

R. W. Jensen, Mountain Road, Midhirst, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on the kerbside outside garage premises at Midhirst.

R. A. Blackwell and W. Burgess, Princess Street, Fairlie, have applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on the kerbside outside garage premises in Princess Street, Fairlie.

E. C. and G. Amon, Whitikahu R.D., Taupiri, have applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed outside garage premises at Whitikahu.

Mockett’s Motors, Ltd., Culverden, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed on a reselling point at Culverden, the pumps concerned to be transferred from the existing reselling point of nine pumps.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 29th January, 1948, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

Southland Farmers’ Co-operative Association, Ltd., Wood Street, Invercargill, has applied for permission to shift two pumps used for the sale of motor-spirit from the present site behind the Southland Building Society’s premises in Wood Street, Invercargill, to a site outside new garage premises in Wood Street.

T. D. Webster and Co., corner of TutaneKai and Pukaki Streets, Rotorua, has applied for permission to shift one pump used for the sale of motor-spirit from the present position inside garage premises at the corner of TutaneKai and Pukaki Streets, Rotorua, to a site outside the building.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 29th January, 1948, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
