Price Order No. 833 (Amendment No. 3 of Price Order No. 475) (Tomatoes)
PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:—

This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 833, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 475* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

This Order shall come into force on the 15th day of January, 1948.

(1) Price Orders No. 638† and No. 662‡ are hereby revoked.
(2) The revocation of the said Orders shall not affect the liability of any person for any offence in relation thereto committed before the coming into force of this Order.
- The principal Order is hereby amended as follows:—
(a) By inserting in clause 8 the following subclause:—
“ (4) The wholesale prices fixed by this clause do not include the cost of any half-case in which the tomatoes are delivered and an additional charge not exceeding 6d. may be made—
“ (a) In respect of all half-cases of the kind No. 6:
“ (b) In respect of all half-cases of the kind No. 8 that are sold in the North Auckland or Auckland Land Districts.
“ No additional charge in respect of any half-cases of the kind No. 8 sold otherwise than in the North Auckland or Auckland Land Districts or in respect of any other type of container may be made.”
(b) By adding to clause 9 the following subclause:—
“ (6) In computing the price per pound under paragraph (a) of subclause (1) hereof, the retailer may add the sum of 2d. in respect of each half-case in which the tomatoes are delivered to him and on which he has incurred a container charge to cover the estimated loss on resale of half-cases.”
(c) By omitting paragraph (c) from clause 11.
(d) By revoking the Schedule, and substituting the following Schedule:—

Unclaimed Lands.—Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its Amendments
To the owner of the following land, that is to say: All that parcel of land containing 40 acres, more or less, being the eastern portion of Allotment 45 of the Parish of Oruru, in the County of Mongonui, bounded on the north and east by a public road, on the south by Allotment 44, 1370 links, and on the west by other portion of Allotment 45, 2880 links, and by a public road, 1131 links, and being the whole of the land comprised in a Crown grant dated the 4th day of May, 1864, the grantee whereof is Richard Samuel Fry Parsons, whose address and occupation are not known.
WHEREAS, after due inquiry, the owner of the above-described land cannot be found: And whereas the said owner has no known agent in New Zealand: Now, the Public Trustee hereby calls upon such owner, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his title to the said land, and if he fails or neglects so to do the Public Trustee will exercise as regards the said land the powers and authorities granted to him in and by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its amendments.

I, WILLIAM THOMAS SPELMAN, Returning Officer for the election of a member of the Southland Land Board, do hereby notify, in accordance with the provisions of section 47 of the Land Act, 1924, and the regulations made thereunder, that the only person nominated for the vacancy occurring on the said Board was
George Henry Soper, of Athol.
I do therefore declare that the said George Henry Soper is duly elected a member of the Southland Land Board for a term of three years as from 6th day of March, 1948.

Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935
PURSUANT to the Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935, notice is hereby given that the Disciplinary Committee of the New Zealand Law Society on the 4th day of December, 1947, ordered that John Anthony Kennedy be suspended from practice as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand from the 4th day of December, 1947, until the application to strike the name of the said John Anthony Kennedy off the Rolls of Barristers and Solicitors is disposed of.
