Individual Valve-type Hearing Aids.—Notice of Approval of
Additional Hearing Aids under the Provisions of the Social
Security Hospital Benefits for Outpatients Regulations 1947
Wellington, 20th December, 1947.
PURSUANT to the provisions of Regulation 4 of the Social
Security Hospital Benefits for Outpatients Regulations 1947,
I, Mabel Bowden Howard, Minister of Health, give notice that
I have approved of the following valve-type hearing aids for the
purposes of these regulations :—
Bonochord Hearing Aids . . Model M. 5 and Civic Model.
Amplivox Hearing Aids .. Omnipac Series I and Omnipac
Series II Models.
Fortiphone Hearing Aids . . Models 15 and 17.
Belclere . . . . Senior and Monopac Models.

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of
Intention to take Land
THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the
Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby
gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the
Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the
31st day of March, 1948, as the date on which possession of the
land is required, and the 9th day of February, 1948, as the date
on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the
said Act.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land situated in Block V, Drury Survey District,
containing by admeasurement six hundred and fifty-six (656) acres
ten (10) perches, more or less, being Lots 1 and 2 on Deposited
Plan 21902, being Allotments 2, 75, and 76, Waiau Parish, and
part of Allotment 16, Karaka Parish, and being all of the land
described in certificate of title, Vol. 499, folio 274 (Auckland
Registry).
Also all that parcel of land situated in Blocks I and V, Drury
Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and
ninety-four (194) acres, more or less, being all of the land on
Deposited Plan 1476, being Allotment 1A, Waiau Parish, and being
all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 76, folio 238
(Auckland Registry).

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of
Intention to take Land
THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the
Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby
gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the
Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the
13th day of April, 1948, as the date on which possession of the
land is required, and the 9th day of February, 1948, as the date
on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the
said Act.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing one hundred and ninety-eight
(198) acres and thirty-five (35) perches, more or less, being Lot 2,
Deposited Plan 5993, being part Rural Sections 26906, 27115, and
27116, situated in Block VIII, Spaxton Survey District, and being
all the land contained in certificate of title, Vol. 455, folio 299
(Canterbury Registry).

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of
Intention to take Land
THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the
Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby
gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the
Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the
15th day of April, 1948, as the date on which possession of the
land is required, and the 9th day of February, 1948, as the date
on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the
said Act.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing six hundred and forty-nine
(649) acres one (1) rood and eighteen (18) perches, more or less,
being Rural Sections 7301, 26917, and 26918, situated in Blocks VI
and IX, Corwar Survey District, and being all the land comprised
in (balance) certificate of title, Vol. 426, folio 45 (Canterbury
Registry).

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice
declaring Land taken for the Settlement of Discharged Servicemen
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement
and Land Sales Act, 1943, notice was given of the
intention of the Minister of Lands to take under Part II of the
said Act the land described in the Schedule hereto, and a copy of
the said notice was published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 70
on the 3rd day of October, 1946, at page 1553 :
And whereas an objection was made by the owners in the manner
prescribed by the said Act objecting to the taking of the said land :
And whereas the Minister of Lands did not revoke his notice
of intention to take the said land :
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which such objection
was referred did on the 19th day of September, 1947, make an
order disallowing such objection :
And whereas an appeal was made against such order by the
owners in the manner prescribed by the said Act :
And whereas the Land Sales Court to which such appeal was
referred did dismiss such appeal and did confirm the said order
of the committee :
And whereas the Land Sales Court did fix the 28th day of
February, 1948, as the date of vesting :
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman
who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of
His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of
section 27 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the land described
in the said Schedule is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen,
and hereby specifies the 28th day of February, 1948, as the
date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His
Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL those parcels of land containing together six hundred and sixty-eight (668) acres one (1) rood and eighteen (18) perches, more or less, situate in Block II of the Kaitawa Survey District, and comprising Subdivisions 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, and 97, and parts of Subdivisions 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 59, 66, 74, 79, 86, 95, and 96 of Section 2F of the Ngaroro Block, and parts of the Ngakaroro Railway Reserve, together with the rights relating to drainage granted by Transfer No. 71097, and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 209, folio 80 (Wellington Registry).

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice
declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of
the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the
land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the
Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies :
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application
has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application
relates is farm land suitable for the settlement of a discharged
serviceman :
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the
Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition
of the land, did on the 23rd day of September, 1947, make an order
determining the basic value of the land :
And whereas an appeal was lodged by the owner against the
order determining the basic value :
And whereas the Land Sales Court has allowed such appeal
and fixed a higher basic value :
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman
who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of
His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance
of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land
is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby
specifies the 7th May, 1948, as the date on which the said land shall
be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL those parcels of land containing by admeasurement two-thousand eight hundred and ninety-three (2,893) acres and twenty-eight (28) perches, more or less, being Lots 1, 2, and 3 on plan deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch and numbered 10977, being Rural Sections 19991, 21030, and 22389, situated in Block VI, Elephant Hill Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised in certificates of title, Vol. 450, folios 63 and 64 (Canterbury Registry).
