Notice of Voluntary Winding-up Resolution pursuant to Section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the above-named company, duly convened and held on the 7th day of May, 1948, the following special resolution was duly passed in accordance with section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933:

It was resolved—

“(a) That the company be wound up voluntarily;
“(b) That Mr. R. L. Laurensen, Public Accountant, of 141 Hereford Street, Christchurch, be and is hereby appointed liquidator.”

MATAKAOA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND*

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Matakaoa County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the erection of a roadman’s cottage—and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council situate at Te Araroa in the said county, New Zealand, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Te Araroa.

SCHEDULE

3 ACRES 20·5 perches, being part Whetumatarau 7B IB 1 Block, the said piece of land being part of Block XII, Matakaoa Survey District, more particularly shown on Plan 4441, and thereon coloured orange.

The above land is situated in the Land Registration District of Gisborne, Matakaoa County.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between ALEXANDER DEY, HAROLD THROP, GILBERT ARNOLD KEMP, and CHARLES STUART CLEMENTS, all of Christchurch, Sports-goods Dealers, carrying on business as Sports-goods Dealers at Christchurch under the style or firm name of “The Canterbury Sports Depot (Alec. Dey & Co.),” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 14th day of May, 1948, so far as concerns the said HAROLD THROP, who retires from the said firm. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said ALEXANDER DEY, GILBERT ARNOLD KEMP, and CHARLES STUART CLEMENTS, who will continue to carry on the said business in partnership under the style or firm name of “The Canterbury Sports Depot (Alec. Dey & Co.)”.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Tauranga County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purposes of improved storage and construction of new main pipe-line in the Te Puke No. 2 Road Water-supply Scheme, hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4% d. in the pound upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property in the Te Puke No. 2 Road Water-supply Special Rating Area (as more particularly described in the Schedule hereto); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.

“SCHEDULE

“COMMENCING at the junction of the northern boundary of Section 17 of Block II of the Maketu Survey District with the Ohineangaanga Stream; thence following the said stream to the north-western corner of Section 19 of Block IX of the said survey district; thence by a right line bearing due west to the western boundary of the public road traversing the northern portion of Section 30 of Block IX of the said survey district; thence following the western boundary of the said public road to its junction with the northern boundary of the Ngawaro Road (which said Ngawaro Road divides the northern from the southern portion of the said Section 30 of Block IX of the said survey district); thence from the junction last above mentioned by a right line to the point of intersection of the Mangatoi Stream with the western boundary of Block IX of the said survey district; thence from the said point of intersection by the said Mangatoi Stream to the confluence of the said Mangatoi Stream with the Waiari River; thence from the said confluence by the left bank of the said Waiari River to the eastern extremity of the northern boundary of Te Puke No. 2B Block; thence along the said northern boundary and the western boundary of the said Te Puke No. 2B Block to the eastern extremity of the north-eastern boundary of Section 26 of Block II of the said survey district; thence along the said north-eastern boundary of the said Section 26 and a direct continuation thereof in a straight line to a point on the western boundary of the public road known as the No. 2 Road; thence from the said point along the western boundary of the said No. 2 Road to the eastern extremity of the northern boundary of Section 17 of Block II of the said survey district; and thence by the said northern boundary of Section 17 of Block II of the said survey district to the point of commencement.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Dunedin (hereinafter called the said Corporation) proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a public work—namely, to widen Corstorphine Road and Playfair Street in the said City of Dunedin—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the Municipal Chambers of the said Corporation situated in the Octagon in the said City of
