Recreation Reserve in Southland Land District brought under Part II
of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 12th day of
May, 1948

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the
thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve
for recreation in the Southland Land District described in the
Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the
operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II
of the said Act, and such reserve shall hereafter form part of the
Seaward Downs Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt
with as a public domain by the Seaward Downs Domain Board.

Vesting the Control of a Reserve for a Site for a Public Hall in the
Matamata County Council

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has
been duly set apart as a reserve for a site for a public hall:
And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve
should be vested in the Matamata County Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section
seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks
Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control of the said reserve in the
Matamata County Council.

Vesting a Reserve in the Ashburton County Council

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been
duly set apart for gravel purposes: And whereas, in the
opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said
reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County
of Ashburton:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of
the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth
hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the
reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the
Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ashburton,
in trust, for gravel purposes.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Ngatitoa Domain

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 12th day of
May, 1948

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twelfth day of
June, one thousand nine hundred and forty, and published
in Gazette of the thirteenth day of that month, the Ngatiawa Park
Domain Board was constituted and appointed to control the
Ngatiawa Park Domain, in pursuance of section forty-four of the
Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928:

And whereas it is desired to change the name of the said
Ngatiawa Park Domain to Ngatitoa Domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto
shall, from and after the date hereof, be known as the Ngatitoa
Domain; and, with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, doth
hereby revoke the Order in Council dated the twelfth day of June,
one thousand nine hundred and forty, hereinbefore referred to,
and doth hereby appoint

David Prosser,
John Thomas Brady,
Arthur James Gearing,
Colin Thomas Power,
Erick Michael Harris Joseph Lynch,
Albert Henry Mildenhall,
Francis Hamilton Jones,
Bruce Graham Harvey, and
Arthur Andrew Hancock

to be the Ngatitoa Domain Board, having control of the land
described in the Schedule hereto, for the purpose of and subject
to the provisions of the said Act.

The first meeting of the said Board shall be held on Wednesday,
the nineteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-
eight, at two o'clock p.m., at the Council Chambers, Hutt County
Council, Bowen Street, Wellington.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—NGATITOA DOMAIN

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 30 acres 1 rood, more
or less, being Section 1 L.C. of Block VIII of the Paekakariki Survey
District, and parts of Sections 80 and 81 of the Porirua District,
and accretions thereto, being also Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 11483, and
being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 464,
folio 101 (Wellington Registry).

Also Lot 18, D.P. 10584, being part of Section 97, Porirua
Registration District, Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District (Town
of Paremata Extension No. 12): Area, 34·88 perches. As the
same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S.
1/1061A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
