WAIROA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by section 21 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the
Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and amendments thereto, and of
all other Acts and powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Wairoa
Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—

"That, for the purpose of providing the payment of interest,
repayment of principal, and other charges on the Wairoa Electric-
power Board Renewal Loan, 1948, of £2,900, authorized to be raised
by the said Board under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose
of repaying the balance of principal owing on the original loan of
£5,000 raised from the State Advances Corporation, at its maturity
date on the 15th day of June, 1948, the said Board hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one forty-second of a penny (1/42d.)
in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value)
of all rateable property in the Wairoa Electric-power District,
comprising the County of Wairoa and the Borough of Wairoa as
defined in the Proclamation proclaiming the said district appearing
in the New Zealand Gazette on the 29th day of July, 1920, at page
2257; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st
day of August in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of ten (10) years or until the loan is fully paid
off."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and the Local
Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Hawke's Bay Electric-power Board
hereby resolves as follows :—

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest, principal,
and other charges on a loan of £50,000, known as "Reticulation
Loan, 1947," authorized to be raised by the Hawke's Bay Electric-
power Board under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of
carrying out further reticulation in that part of the Hawke's Bay
Electric-power District comprised in the constituent districts of
the County of Hawke's Bay, the Town District of Taradale, the
Borough of Hastings, and the Town District of Havelock North,
the said Hawke's Bay Electric-power Board hereby makes and
levies a special rate of one-nth (1/9th) of a penny (d.) in the
pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value)
of all rateable property of the said constituent districts of the
County of Hawke's Bay, the Town District of Taradale, the Borough
of Hastings, and the Town District of Havelock North, in the
whole of the County of Hawke's Bay, the Town District of
Taradale, the Borough of Hastings, and the Town District of
Havelock North; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable
yearly on the 1st of May in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years or until the loan is
fully paid off."

behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the Health
Act, 1920, the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Local Govern-
ment Loans Board Act, 1926, and regulations thereunder, and of
all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council
hereby resolves as follows :—

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges
on a loan of £22,180, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City
Council under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of pro-
viding waterworks for the purpose of extending and improving
the waterworks undertaking of the City of Auckland, the said
Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
one-ninth of one penny (d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable
value of all rateable property (on the basis of the annual value)
of the Auckland City, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland;
and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan and shall be paid yearly on the
1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully
paid off."
