Stations and to the south-western corner of the Pukeko Tribal Committee Area, the point of commencement.
Muriwai Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at Whakatane Trig. Station, in Block II, Whakatane Survey District, and proceeding northerly along a right line to the southern corner of Allotment 274, Waimana Parish; then westerly along the southern boundary of that allotment and its production to the boundary of the Borough of Whakatane, as described in New Zealand Gazette of 1940, at page 2781; then northerly along that boundary and northerly and south-easterly along the sea-coast to the entrance to Ohiwa Harbour; then westerly along the shore of Ohiwa Harbour to a point due south of Ohope Trig. Station, in Block III, Whakatane Survey District; then along a right line to Ohope Trig. Station; then westerly along a right line to Whakatane Trig. Station, the point of commencement.
Wairaka Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the northern boundary of the Borough of Whakatane, as described in New Zealand Gazette of 1940, at page 2781, with the south-western boundary of the Muriwai Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described, and proceeding south-easterly along the south-western and southern boundaries of that area to the entrance of Ohiwa Harbour; then due east along a right line to the middle of that entrance; then south-westerly along right lines to Trig. Station B1 on Uretara Island, and to the south-eastern corner of Section 5, Opouriao Settlement, in Block IX, Whakatane Survey District; then along the southern boundaries of Sections 5 and 16, Opouriao Settlement, to the southern corner of the said Section 16; then along a right line to the south-eastern corner of Rangataua Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described, being a point in the middle of the Whakatane River; then northerly down the middle of the Whakatane River to the confluence of that river with the Waioho Stream; then along a right line due east to the right bank of the Whakatane River; then northerly, westerly, and north-easterly generally along that bank and the western and northern boundaries of the Borough of Whakatane to the intersection of the latter with the south-western boundary of the Muriwai Tribal Committee Area, the point of commencement.
Hokowhitu Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Taiwhakaea Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described, and proceeding easterly along the sea-coast to the easternmost corner of Section 6, Block II, Whakatane Survey District; then north-easterly along a right line to the north-western point of Whakatane Heads; then southerly along the sea-coast to the northern boundary of the Borough of Whakatane, as described in New Zealand Gazette of 1940, at page 2781; then south-westerly generally along that boundary to the eastern boundary of Patuwai Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; then northerly along the eastern boundaries of the Patuwai and Taiwhakaea Tribal Committee Areas to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned area, the point of commencement.

Torere Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast, being the north-western corner of Awaawakino B Block, in Block I, Waiava Survey District; then north-easterly generally along the sea-coast to the south-western boundary of an area of 270 acres 2 roods 25 perches, being part of Tunapahore South Block, situated in Block III, Tokata Survey District; then south-easterly generally along a right line to Trig. Station 1316 (Maungawaru); then along a right line to Arowhana Trig. Station, in Block IV, Arowhana Survey District; then along a right line to Tuanui-o-te-Kahakaha Trig. Station, in Block X, Arowhana Survey District; then north-westerly along a right line to the north-eastern corner of a Township Reserve of 116 acres in Block XVI, Waiava Survey District; then along a right line to the southernmost corner of Awaawakino B Block, and along the south-western and western boundaries of the said block to the sea-coast, in Block I, Waiava Survey District, the point of commencement.
Opape Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast being the north-western corner of Opape Part No. 2A 1 Block, in Block I, Waiava Survey District; then north-easterly along the sea-coast to the north-western corner of Awaawakino B Block, being a point on the boundary of Torere Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; then south-easterly along that boundary to Tuanui-o-te-Kahakaha Trig. Station; then south-westerly along a right line in the direction of Trig. Station 140 to its intersection with the Whakamaria Stream, in Block IX, Arowhana Survey District; then north-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station 774 (Te Atua Ahutapu); then along a right line to the easternmost corner of Opape Part 3P Block; then along the south-western boundary of Opape Part No. 2A 1 Block to the sea-coast, in Block I, Waiava Survey District, the point of commencement.
Omarumutu Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast, being the westernmost corner of Opape No. 2A 1 Block, situated in Block I, Waiava Survey District, and being a point on the boundary of the Opape Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; then south-easterly along the south-western boundary of that area to the intersection of the Whakamaria Stream with a right line drawn from Tuanui-o-te-Kahakaha Trig. Station to Trig. Station 140; then south-westerly along the said right line to its intersection with the Waitangirua Stream, in Block IX, Arowhana Survey District; then north-westerly along a right line to the southernmost corner of Opape Block; then north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Opape Blocks W, R, JBHM, P, OG, No. 11, No. 10, and No. 9 to a point in the middle of the Waiava River; then down the middle of the Waiava River to its intersection with the south-western boundary of that portion of Opape Part No. 4D Block, containing 33 acres 3 roods 20 perches, in Block V, Waiava Survey District; then northerly along a right line to the southernmost corner of Opape No. 3X Block; then south-westerly along a right line to a point in the middle of the Waiava River in line with the south-eastern boundary of Opape 6B Block; then northerly generally down the middle of the Waiava River to its mouth; then easterly generally to and along the sea-coast to the westernmost corner of Opape No. 2A 1 Block, the point of commencement.
Waiava Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at the middle of the entrance of the Opotiki Harbour; then easterly to and along the sea-coast and to the middle of the mouth of the Waiava River, being a point on the boundary of the Omarumutu Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; then south-easterly generally along the south-western boundary of that area to the intersection of the Waitangirua Stream with a right line drawn from Trig. Station Tuanui-o-te-Kahakaha through Trig. Station 140; then south-westerly along the said right line and its production to the middle of the Motu River; then up the middle of the Motu River to its confluence with the Whakapaupakii Stream, in Block II, Motu Survey District; then up the middle of the Whakapaupakii Stream and along the southern boundary of Whakapaupakii No. 2 Block to Trig. Station 149A; then north-easterly along a right line to the confluence of the Te Waiti Stream and the Pakihi Stream, in Block XIII, Waiava Survey District; then down the middle of the Otara River to its confluence with the Waioeka River; then down the middle of the Waioeka River to the middle of the entrance of the Opotiki Harbour, the point of commencement.
Te Rere Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station 24, in Block VII, Opotiki Survey District; then north-westerly along a right line to a point in the middle of the Waioeka River in line with the southern boundary of Duke Street, being the southern boundary of Opotiki Borough; then down the middle of the Waioeka River and its eastern arm to the middle of the Otara River; then up the middle of the Otara River to its confluence with the Pakihi and Te Waiti Streams, in Block XIII, Waiava Survey District; then north-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station 24, the point of commencement.
Waioeka Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast, being the north-eastern corner of Section 11, Block II, Opotiki Survey District; then easterly along the sea-coast to a point in the middle of the entrance of the Opotiki Harbour; then up the middle of that harbour and the Waioeka River to the confluence of its eastern arm with the Otara River, and up its eastern arm to a point in line with the southern boundary of Duke Street, being the southern boundary of Opotiki Borough; then south-easterly along a right line to Trig. Station 24, in Block VII, Opotiki Survey District, along a right line to the confluence of the Pakihi and Te Waiti Streams, in Block XIII, Waiava Survey District, and along a right line to Trig. Station 149A; then along a right line to Trig. Station Pokaikiri; then south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of Section 2, Block V, Motu Survey District, Sections 2, 1, and 4, Block IX, Motu Survey District, Sections 3 and 2, Block XII, Moanui Survey District, and Small Grazing-run 90 to its westernmost corner; then northerly along a right line to Trig. Station 1, in Block IV, Waioeka South Survey District, and a right line to Trig. Station 738 (Ahitahutahu), in Block III, Waioeka Survey District, along a right line to Trig. Station 744, in Block VI, Opotiki Survey District, and along a right line to a point on the sea-coast, being the north-eastern corner of Section 11, Block II, Opotiki Survey District, the point of commencement.
Tamatea-Upokorehe Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at the middle of the entrance of the Ohiwa Harbour, in Block VII, Whakatane Survey District; then easterly along a right line to the eastern side of the said entrance, and along the sea-coast to the north-eastern corner of Section 11, Block II, Opotiki Survey District, being a point on the western boundary of the Waioeka Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; then southerly along the western boundary of the aforesaid area to the north-western corner of Small Grazing-run 90, Block XII, Moanui Survey District; then south-westerly along the north-western boundary of Small Grazing-run 89 and its production to the western boundary of Tahora Block; then northerly along a right line to Kaharoa Trig. Station, in Block II, Waioeka South Survey District; then along the south-western boundary of the Tahora 2AD 2 Block to its intersection with the middle of the Waimana River, in Block XII, Waimana Survey District; then down the middle of the Waimana River to its intersection with the south-western boundary of Waimana No. 1D
