TARADALE TOWN BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Taradale Town Board proposes, under the provisions of the Town Boards Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—namely, the widening of a road—and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the offices of the Taradale Town Board, Taradale, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk, Taradale Town Board, Taradale.

THE SCHEDULE

The several parcels of land mentioned in list hereunder:—

In the Registration District of Hawke’s Bay, situated in Taradale Town District.

TAIHAPE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Taihape Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,800, authorized to be raised by the Taihape Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the erection of transit houses, the said Taihape Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny (¾d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Taihape; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Taihape Borough Council held on the 10th day of February, 1948.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, for transport purposes, The Crescent, in the City of Wellington—and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council at the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situate in the City of Wellington, containing by admeasurement twenty-one one-hundredths of a perch (0·21 perches), more or less, being part of Section 1, Evans Bay District, being part of Lot 3 on Deposited Plan No. 9630; as the said piece of land is more particularly shown on S.O. plan 21632, and thereon coloured blue.
