Notice of Intention to take Land in the Borough of Ellerslie for an Automatic-telephone Exchange
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of an automatic-telephone exchange—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Ellerslie and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken : 34 perches.
Being part Lot 5, D.P. 31250, and being part Allotment 17 of Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland.
Situated in the Borough of Ellerslie (Auckland R.D.).
In the North Auckland Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 126694, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of an automatic-telephone exchange —and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of such notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Being Lot 3, D.P. 6250, part Rural Section 188, situated in Block X, Christchurch Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 439, folio 102 (Canterbury Land Registry), and situated at the north-eastern corner of Bryndwr and Glandovey Roads, Fendalton.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Riccarton and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objection's to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken : 1 acre 2 roods 38·8 perches.
Being part Lot 4, D.P. 831, part Rural Section 139.
Situated in Block X, Christchurch Survey District (Canterbury R.D.).
In the Canterbury Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 126699, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Economic Stabilization Emergency Regulations 1942.—Wartime Price Index
IN accordance with Regulation 41 of the Economic Stabilization Emergency Regulations 1942, it is hereby notified that the wartime price index as at the 15th day of December, 1947 (on base : 15th December, 1942 = 1000), was 1085. This figure indicates that the general level of prices of commodities, &c., included in the wartime price index was 8·5 per cent. higher at 15th December, 1947, than at 15th December, 1942.
