Notice of Voluntary Winding Up
Pursuant to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that by means of an entry in the minute-book in accordance with section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, dated the 11th day of February, 1947, the following special resolutions were duly passed:
“1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.”
“2. That Mr. J. A. Gentles, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.
Notice is hereby given that the Wairoa County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, a road—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council, situate Queen Street, Wairoa, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
Notice is hereby given that by entry in the minute-book pursuant to section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, the following special resolution was passed:
“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Walter Victor Madden, of Masterton, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator.”
The special resolution became effective on 11th February, 1947.
All claims against the above company must be submitted to the liquidator, care of Messrs. Madden and Levien, P.O. Box 190, Masterton, on or before 28th February, 1947.

THE EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
Notice is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Auckland intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of a public school, the following land—namely, all that piece of land containing 9 acres 2 roods 28 perches, more or less, situated in Block VIII of the Survey District of Tangihua, being portion of Lot 2 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland as No. 20983, and being portion of Allotment 17 of the Parish of Maungakaramaea, and part of the land comprised in Certificate of title, Vol. 474, folio 281 (Auckland Registry): as the same is delineated by plan deposited in the Survey Office at Auckland under No. 33671, and thereon coloured yellow.
A plan of the land is deposited at the post-office at Tauraroa and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.
All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Education Board of the District of Auckland at its office, Wellesley Street East, Auckland.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP
Notice is hereby given of the termination of the partnership subsisting between Herbert John Hayman, Charles William Moore, and James Foy, trading together as “We XL Dyers and Dry Cleaners,” at Palmerston North, by the withdrawal of C. W. Moore from the partnership as from the 12th day of February, 1947, the partnership being carried on under the same firm name from that date by H. J. Hayman and J. Foy alone.

BANKS PENINSULA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Workers' Dwellings Loan, 1946, £3,600
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board, a corporate body duly incorporated under the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the Board’s Workers’ Dwellings Loan, 1946, £3,600, authorized to be raised by the Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of acquiring land and erecting dwellings thereon within the Banks Peninsula Electric-power District, the said Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one forty-fifth of a penny (1/45d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Banks Peninsula Electric-power District, comprising the Borough of Akaroa, the Counties of Akaroa, Wairewa, and Mount Herbert, and the Diamond Harbour Settlement in the Borough of Lyttelton; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Dated at Little River this 11th day of February, 1947.
