Plant declared to be a Noxious Weed in the Waimate West County.— (Notice No. Ag. 4380)

THE following special order made by the Waimate West County Council on the 5th day of February, 1947, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.

SPECIAL ORDER

“IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928 the Waimate West County Council hereby resolves and declares, by way of special order, that the plant mentioned in the Schedule hereto (being a plant mentioned in the Second Schedule to the said Act) is a noxious weed within the County of Waimate West.”

Approval of Testing Officer under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940

IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940,* the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve of the person named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being a Testing Officer under the said regulations for the authorities specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Approval of Application by Richmond Borough Council for Declaration of a Zone of Parking Restriction

PURSUANT to Regulation 3 of the Traffic Sign Regulations 1937, as amended by the Traffic Sign Regulations 1937, Amendment No. 1, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve of the application made by the Richmond Borough Council for a declaration that the continuous parking of motor-vehicles shall be restricted to a maximum period of sixty minutes for any vehicle between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the zone of parking restriction described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that part of Queen Street commencing at its meeting with Gladstone Road and ending at its meeting with Salisbury Road.

Approval of Application by Onehunga Borough Council for Declaration of a Zone of Parking Restriction

PURSUANT to Regulation 3 of the Traffic Sign Regulations 1937, as amended by the Traffic Sign Regulations 1937, Amendment No. 1, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve of the application made by the Onehunga Borough Council for a declaration that the continuous parking of motor-vehicles shall be restricted to a maximum period of thirty minutes for any vehicle between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the zone of parking restriction described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that part of Queen Street commencing at its meeting with Princes Street and ending at its meeting with Grey Street.

Notice as to Statutory Closing-days under the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22

WHEREAS the Commissioner of the Borough of Thames and the Commissioner of the Matakaoa County and the Mayors or Chairmen, as the case may be, of the local authorities of the other respective separate districts mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto, have duly notified the Minister of Labour that the days decided on as the statutory closing-days in their respective districts, pursuant to the provisions of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, are the days set opposite their respective names in the second column of the said Schedule:

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon him by the said Act, the Minister of Labour doth hereby appoint that the said respective days shall be the statutory closing-days for shops in the said respective districts on and from the 3rd day of March, 1947.
