A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for public buildings of the General Government; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-fourth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods 10 perches, more or less, situated in the Borough of Dannevirke, and being Suburban Section 78, Dannevirke, bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Suburban Section 25, 616·5 links; towards the east by Claudius Street, 689·8 links; towards the south by Lots 7 and 13, D.P. 4015, and the abutment of Redfern Street, 599·9 links; towards the west by Suburban Section 77, 831·4 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/7/54, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

PURSUANT to section forty-one of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1945, and section forty of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1946, and all other powers him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the disposition to and the acquisition by John McKenzie Morgan, of St. Bathans, Sheep-farmer, of the freehold land described in the First Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XIII of the Land Act, 1924, and of the leasehold land described in the Second Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of section one hundred and seven of the Land Act, 1924.

FIRST SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing 22 acres 2 roods 19 perches, being Section 1, Block IX, Blackstone Survey District, and being all the land comprised in Certificates of Title, Volume 178, folio 147, and Volume 229, folio 172 (Otago Registry).

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 rood and 8 perches, more or less, being Lot 21, as shown on the plan numbered 14095, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part of Section 4 of Block XV of the Town of Waharoa, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 479, folio 128 (Auckland Land Registry).
