THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of the outstanding
duplicate of renewable lease, Register-book, Vol. 289, folio 62
(Canterbury Registry), of Section 2, Tara Settlement, Block XIV,
Waihao Survey District, containing 451 acres, whereof JAMES
WILLIAM BAIKIE, of Waihaorunga, Farmer, is the registered
lessee, and of the Outstanding Duplicate of Memorandum of
Mortgage No. 116566, whereof MARY THERESA LAWLOR, of
Christchurch, Widow (incorrectly described therein as Mary Teresa
Lawlor) is the registered mortgagee, and application having been
made for the issue of provisional copies of the said lease and mortgage,
notice is hereby given of my intention to issue such provisional
copies on the 5th January, 1948.
Dated this 8th day of December, 1947, at the Land Registry
Office, Christchurch.

APPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of a
provisional certificate of title in favour of FLORENCE BULL,
wife of Arthur Bull, of Oraka, Sawmiller, for Section 46, Town of
Oraka, being the land contained in certificate of title, Vol. 73,
flio 225, and evidence having been lodged of the loss of the said
certificate of title, I hereby give notice that I shall issue a pro-
visional certificate of title as requested upon the expiration of
fourteen days from the 11th December, 1947.

of AKAROA CO-OPERATIVE BUTTER FACTORY COMPANY,

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the above
company will be held at the office of the Council Chambers,
Akaroa, on Tuesday, 23rd December, 1947, at 1.30 p.m., for the
purpose of having the account of the liquidator, showing the
manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the pro-
perty of the company disposed of, laid before such meeting, and
of hearing any explanations that may be given by the liquidator,
and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner

- That calls to the amount of 18s. (eighteen shillings) per share
have been made under which the sum of £22,500 has been received. - That the amount of moneys received on account of Estates
under Administration during the six months ended 30th September,
1947, is £1,050,238 17s. 2d. - That the amount of all moneys paid on account of Estates
under Administration during the six months ended 30th September,
1947, is £1,008,507 13s. 3d. - That the amount of the balance held to the credit of Estates
under Administration during the six months ended 30th September,
1947, is £204,533 0s. 3d. - That the liabilities of the company on the 1st day of October
last were owing to sundry persons by the company—viz. : On
judgment, nil; on specialty, nil; on notes or bills, nil; on simple
contracts, £391,192 2s. 4d.; on estimated liabilities, nil. - That the assets of the company on that date were: Govern-
ment securities, £11,240; other securities, £271,141 15s. 9d.;
bills of exchange and promissory notes, nil; cash on deposit,
£128,546 5s. 5d.; cash at bank, £42,155 15s. 5d.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing
the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of
the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Justices of the
Peace Act, 1927.
