Allocating Portions of Railway Land near Paeroa for Road Purposes

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of the land taken for the purposes of the Paeroa-Waihi Railway, and
it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road :
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every
other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of
the Ohinemuri County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and
maintained by the said Council.

Situated in Ohinemuri County.
All in the Auckland Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 9037, deposited in the office
of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that
Dominion, this 10th day of November, 1947.
