HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to confirm the following promotions and relinquishment of temporary rank of Officers of the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force (Japan Section), vide List No. 70, dated 7th October, 1947 :-

GRANTS OF TEMPORARY RANK
Captain M. Pirritt, Royal N.Z. Army Medical Corp, to be temp. Major. Dated 7th October, 1947.

TEMPORARY RANK RELINQUISHED
2nd Lieutenant (temp. Captain) W. G. R. Henesy, Royal N.Z. Army Service Corps, relinquished the temporary rank of Captain on ceasing to be employed as B.A.S.C.O., 2 N.Z.E.F. (Japan), and retains the temporary rank of Lieutenant whilst employed as 2 i/c of a Transport Platoon. Dated 7th October, 1947.
