Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of Road in Block VIII,
Drury Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public
Works Act, 1928, 1, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land which is described in
the Schedule hereto (and which was acquired for the North Island
Main Trunk Railway and is not now required for such purpose)
shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette,
become road, and that such road shall be maintained by the Main
Highways Board in like manner as other public highways are
controlled and maintained by the said Board.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land dealt with : 36.4 perches.
Being part Railway land in Proclamation 4488.
Situated in Block VIII, Drury Survey District (Auckland R.D.).

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125584, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of October, 1947.

for that Purpose, to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section thirty-five of the Public Works Act,
1928, 1, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land
subject to the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land :
7 acres 1 rood 25.71 perches.
Being Lots 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 45, 46, 47,
48, 49, 50, 51, and parts Lots 52 and 53, D.P. 7881, being part
Suburban Section 176, Town of Palmerston North.
Situated in Block XI, Kairanga Survey District (City of
Palmerston North).
In the Wellington Land District ; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 126269, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of October, 1947.

Drive), in the City of Auckland, of a Width less than 66 ft., but
not less than 40 ft., subject to a Condition as to the Building-
line

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day of
October, 1947
Present :
THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and the
Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
authorize the Auckland City Council to permit the laying-off of the
proposed street described in the Schedule hereto of a width less than
sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet, subject to the condition that
no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on
Lots 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6, D.P. 34618, or on Lots 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9,
D.P. 34323, all being part Allotment 58, Section 6, Suburbs of
Auckland, within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-
line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the North Auckland Land District, City of
Auckland, to be known as Withiel Drive, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 10.9 perches, more or less, as shown on Deposited
Plans 34618 and 34323, being part Allotment 58, Section 6, Suburbs
of Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked P.W.D. 126260, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
