NOTES.—Engineers are expected to be registered by examination under the Engineer’s Registration Act, 1924, and also possess the Annual Practising Certificate before being eligible to be advanced beyond £560.
Officers with special qualifications, marked (†) in the column provided for the maximum salary, may proceed by annual increments to a maximum of £560 subject to satisfactory reports, and provided that the duties performed are of a nature and value commensurate with the increasing salary, and provided the status of the duties progressively advances.
