The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.-Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of Discharged Servicemen
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 24 of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, notice was given of the intention of the Minister of Lands to take under Part II of the said Act the lands described in the Schedule hereto, and a copy of the said notice was published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 30 on the 5th day of June, 1947, at page 716:
And whereas an objection was made by the owner in the manner prescribed by the said Act objecting to the taking of the said lands:
And whereas the Minister of lands did not revoke his notice of intention to take the said lands:
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which such objection was referred did make an order disallowing such objection:
And whereas an appeal was made against such order by the owner in the manner prescribed by the said Act:
And whereas the Land Sales Court to which such appeal was referred did dismiss such appeal:
And whereas the owner has agreed to an amended vesting-date:
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty's Forces or in any British ship:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 27 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto are taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 1st day of November, 1947, as the date on which the said lands shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement twenty-four (24) acres three (3) roods twenty-six (26) perches, situated in Block IV, Te Mata Survey District, and Block I, Kidnapper Survey District, part Block 9, Te Mata Crown Grant District, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan Registered No. 7211, and being all the land in certificate of title, Vol. 114, folio 69 (Hawke's Bay Registry).
Appurtenant to the part of the within land formerly comprised in C/T., H.B., 110/215, are the water rights over Lot 1, Plan 3241 (part C/T., H.B., 63/221), granted in and by Transfer 28793 (copied 6th May, 1932).
Appurtenant to the part of the within land formerly comprised in C/T., H.B., 110/215, is the right-of-way and certain other rights over part of the land in Lease 9705 (part C/T., H.B., 114/70) granted or reserved by the said Lease 9705 (term, ten years from 1st February, 1943).
Appurtenant to the part of the within land formerly comprised in C/T., H.B., 110/215, are the rights of entry over the land in Lease 9705 (part C/T., H.B., 114/70) granted or reserved by the said Lease 9705 (term, ten years from 1st February, 1943).
Appurtenant hereto is the right-of-way over Lot 2, Plan 7047 (part C/T., H.B., 110/216), shown coloured blue on the diagram hereon, granted in and by Transfer 75042.
Subject as to part to the water rights thereover appurtenant to Lots 2 and 3, Plan 7047 (C/T., H.B., 110/216), granted in and by Transfer 75044.
Appurtenant to part of the land herein are the water rights over part Lots 2 and 3, Plan 7047 (C/T., H.B., 110/216), granted in and by Transfer 75044.
Subject to the water rights hereover appurtenant to Lot 2, Plan 7211 (C/T., H.B., 114/70), reserved in and by Transfer 78610.

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies:
And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman:
And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 8th day of September, 1947, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court:
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty's Forces or in any British ship:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 15th day of October, 1947, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.
SCHEDULE
HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement two (2) acres two (2) roods and thirty-seven (37) perches, situated in Block IV, Te Mata Survey District, part of the Heretaunga Block, being Lot 1, Deposited Plan No. 4569, and being all the land in certificate of title, Vol. 3, folio 100 (Hawke's Bay Registry). Subject to fencing covenant contained in Transfer 28936 and 44293.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement twelve (12) acres three (3) roods and twenty-one decimal five (21.5) perches, situated in Block IV, Te Mata Survey District, part of the Heretaunga Block, being Lot 6, Deposited Plan No. 3237, and being all the land in certificate of title, Vol. 3, folio 102 (Hawke's Bay Registry). Subject to fencing covenant contained in Transfer No. 29002.

Social Securtiy Pharmaceutical Supplies Regulations 1941.-Notice regarding Additions to and Deletions from the New Zealand Formulary
ADDENDUM, SEPTEMBER, 1947, TO THE NEW ZEALAND FORMULARY New Zealand Formulary--Part I
- (1) The following material is deleted from the Table of Materials which are unconditionally excluded under paragraph (a) of clause 5 of the Drug Tariff (September, 1946):
Methyltestosterone
(2) This amendment shall take effect from 16th October, 1947. - (1) The following material is added to the Table of Materials allowed under paragraph (b) of clause 5 of the Drug Tariff (September, 1946):
Methyltestosterone, but only when the medical prescription containing the same shall have received the precedent approval of the Medical Officer of Health and only to the extent thereby approved, and such approval and extent have been signified in writing on the face of the prescription itself at the time of presentation to the contractor. Every application for the approval of the Medical Officer of Health shall be in writing signed by the medical practitioner who prescribes the material and shall contain a diagnosis of the patient's condition.
(2) This amendment shall take effect from 16th October, 1947.
