described in the Schedule hereto being taken for housing purposes.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be taken:
36 acres 0 roods 31 perches.
Being Lot I, D.P. 9643, being part Rural Sections 825 and 2202.

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the residence-site licence in
the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for housing
purposes.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land in respect of which the
residence-site licence is permitted to be taken: 2 roods 0-7
perches.
Being Section 434 and part Sections 432 and 430 and Crown land,
Town of Greymouth.

Situated in the Borough of Greymouth (Westland R.D.).

Dissolving the Ellesmere Lands Drainage Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of
October, 1947

Present:

His ExCELLENcy THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS a request was made, pursuant to section eight of
the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Amendment Act,
1946, that the Ellesmere Lands Drainage Board be dissolved, and
that the powers and functions thereof be transferred to the North
Canterbury Catchment Board;

And whereas, pursuant to section twenty-four of the Local
Government Commission Act, 1946, such request was referred to
the Local Government Commission, and the Commission approved
the proposal as a final scheme bearing date the second day of
September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven:

And whereas it is desirable that effect be given to the provisions
of such final scheme:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred on him by the Local Government Commission
Act, 1946, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order
and declare that the Ellesmere Lands Drainage Board is hereby
dissolved, and that the powers and functions thereof are transferred to the North Canterbury Catchment Board; and with the
like advice and consent doth hereby further order and declare that
the provisions of sections ten and thirteen of the Soil Conservation
and Rivers Control Amendment Act, 1946, shall, with such modifications as may be necessary, apply upon the dissolution of the
Ellesmere Lands Drainage Board.

PURSUANT to section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land
described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required
for the purpose for which it was acquired.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold: 1 rood.
Being Allotment 261, Town of Richmond, in Proclamation No. 10610.
Situated in Block I, Awa-o-te-atua Survey District (Auckland

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of
October, 1947

Present:

His ExCELLENcy THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section one hundred and twelve of the Public
Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule
hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become
a county road.

SCHEDULE

All that portion of road in the Southland Land District, Southland
County, known as Owen Road, commencing at its intersection
with the Woodslea Downs Road, and proceeding thence in a north-
westerly direction generally adjoining part of Section 17, D.P. 899,
Block II, Toetoes Survey District, and Section 63, Block IX,
Wyndham District, and terminating at a point approximately
5560 links from the point of commencement. As the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 126151,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and
thereon coloured red.
