Subsoil of Additional Land at Sawyer's Bay taken for the Construction
of a Tunnel for the Purposes of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in
me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power
and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that
all that portion of the subsoil of the lands mentioned in the Schedule
hereto situated below a plane ten feet in vertical height above the
centre-line of the roof of the tunnel, as delineated on the plan
referred to in the said Schedule, is hereby taken for the construction
of a tunnel for the purposes of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway.

nearth, part Section 26; coloured sepia.
0 0 24·6 Part street ; edged green.
All being situated in Sawyer's Bay Survey District, Borough of
West Harbour. (S.O. 2415.)
In the Otago Land District; as the same are more particularly
delineated on the plan marked L.O. 8991, deposited in the office
of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured
as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 3rd day of October, 1947.

Crown Land set apart for Scientific and Industrial Research Purposes
(Agricultural and Pastoral Research) in Block LXXII, Hokonui
Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set
apart for scientific and industrial research purposes (agricultural
and pastoral research); and I do also declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the thirteenth day of October, one
thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart : 44 acres
2 roods 27·5 perches.
Being part of Section 136 and part of Lots 7 and 8, Block I, and
part of Lots 9, 10, and 11, Block II, D.P. 171, being part
Sections 59, 136, and closed road.
Situated in Block LXXII, Hokonui Survey District (South-
land R.D.). (S.O. 5730.)
In the Southland Land District; as the same is more parti-
cularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125703, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 2nd day of October, 1947.

Declaring Land acquired for a Government Work, and not required
for that Purpose, to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section thirty-five of the Public Works Act,
1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land
subject to the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land:
35·6 perches.
Being part Rural Section 387, Township of Palmerston North,
and being also Lot 24, D.P. 7244, Loughnan Settlement.
Situated in the City of Palmerston North. (S.O. 21592.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more parti-
cularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 126139, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this lst day of October, 1947.
