PATRICK’S DRAPERY STORES, LIMITED

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of shareholders in the above company will be held at the office of Mr. Will Appleton, Bethune’s Building, 154 Featherston Street, Wellington, on Monday, the 6th day of October, 1947, at 12 noon, for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidators, and, in pursuance of section 275 of the Companies Act, 1933, to determine by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidators thereof shall be disposed of.

DUNEDIN SAVINGS-BANK

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 7 of the Savings-bank Act, 1908, that on the 27th day of August, 1947, the Trustees of the Dunedin Savings-bank appointed WILLIAM GEORGE HILLIKER, of Dunedin, to be Manager of the said bank, and JOHN MASON PETERSON, of Dunedin, to be Accountant of the said bank, and that memorials of the names of such Manager and Accountant respectively were, pursuant to section 55 of the said Act, filed in the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Dunedin aforesaid on the 27th day of August, 1947, under Nos. M.6/339 and M.6/340 respectively.

THE WELLINGTON EDUCATION BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Wellington requires to take the land described in the Schedule hereto. The land is required for the purposes of a public work—namely, a public-school site.

A plan of the said land is open for inspection at the following places:—

(a) At the office of the above-mentioned Board, 65 Abel Smith Street, Wellington.

(b) At the business premises of Mr. R. G. S. Nisbet (Pahiatua Home Furnishers, Ltd.), Pahiatua.

All persons affected by such taking are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objection to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of the notice, to the Secretary of the above-mentioned Board at his office at 65 Abel Smith Street, Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Auckland intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of a public school, the following land, viz.: All that piece of land situated in the Provincial District of Auckland containing two acres two roods five decimal four perches (2 acres 2 roods 5·4 perches), situated in the Borough of Whakatane, being part of Lot 6, D.P. 8986, part Allotment 261, D.P. 13759, and part Lot 17, D.P. 11056, all being part of Allotment 261, Waimana Parish, which said pieces of land are part of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 810, folio 8 (Auckland Registry).

A plan of the land is deposited in the post-office at Whakatane and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.

All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Education Board of the District of Auckland at its office in Wellesley Street East, Auckland.
