MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement fifteen thousand seven hundred and seventy-one (15,771) acres and one (1) rood, more or less, situated in Avon and Mount Olympus Survey Districts, being Section 139 and parts of Sections 137, 138, 140, District of Waihopai, Sections 5, 8, and 10, and parts of Sections 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 94, and 96, District of Wairau Valley, Sections 44 to 50 (both inclusive), Square 43, District of Wairau Valley, Sections 52 to 67, and 70 to 95 (all inclusive), Lansdowne Run, parts of Sections 68 and 69, Lansdowne Run, Sections 14 and 15, Block I, and Section 1, Block XVI, Avon Survey District, and Sections 22 and 23, Block IV, Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block X, and Sections 1 and 2, Block XIV, Mount Olympus Survey District, the boundaries of the said land being more particularly delineated on Deposited Plans Nos. 729 to 733 and 1080, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 27, folio 253 (Marlborough Registry), there being appurtenant to the above-described land a right-of-way over the parcel of land coloured yellow on Deposited Plan No. 1080, and a right to use the waters of the Waihopai River for the purposes as described in Transfer No. 9249.

Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement three (3) roods and eight (8) perches, more or less, situated in Block IV, Mount Olympus Survey District, being part of 4 of Section 14, District of Wairau Valley, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 37, folio 11 (Marlborough Registry), subject to rights-of-way granted by Conveyance Nos. 11359 and 11361 to other parts of 4 of Section 14, District of Wairau Valley.

Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement ten (10) acres, more or less, situated in Block XVIII, Pine Valley Survey District, being Section 158, District of North Bank of Wairau, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 11c, folio 84 (Marlborough Registry).

Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement ten (10) acres, more or less, situated in Block XVIII, Pine Valley Survey District, being Section 159, District of North Bank of Wairau, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 3, folio 71 (Marlborough Registry).

Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement thirty (30) acres, more or less, situated in Block XVIII, Pine Valley Survey District, being Sections 156, 157, and 160, District of North Bank of Wairau, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 4, folio 17 (Marlborough Registry).

Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement fifty (50) acres, more or less, situated in Blocks XIII and XVIII, Pine Valley Survey District, being Section 54, District of North Bank of Wairau, and part of Section 13, District of Kaituna, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 35, folio 2 (Marlborough Registry).

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.


SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Wallace County—

All that area at Tuatapere consisting of those portions of roads hereinafter described :—

(1) Argyle–Tuatapere Main Highway No. 136, commencing at a point 12 chains measured in a north-easterly direction along the said main highway from its junction with Birch Street and terminating at the junction of the said main highway with the Riverton–Tuatapere Main Highway.

(2) Riverton–Tuatapere Main Highway No. 147, commencing at a point 3 chains measured in a southerly direction along the said main highway from its junction with Jenkins Road and terminating at the junction of the said main highway with the Argyle–Tuatapere Main Highway.

(3) Tuatapere–Clifden–Orawia Main Highway No. 292, commencing at the junction of the said main highway with the Argyle–Tuatapere Main Highway and terminating at a point 48 chains measured in a north-westerly direction along the said main highway from the said junction.

Approval of Application by Wellington City Council for Declaration of a Zone of Parking Restriction

PURSUANT to Regulation 3 of the Traffic Sign Regulations 1937, as amended by the Traffic Sign Regulations 1937, Amendment No. 1, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve of the application made by the Wellington City Council for a declaration that the continuous parking of motor-vehicles shall be restricted to a maximum period of sixty minutes for any vehicle between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the zone of parking restriction described in clauses (a) and (b) of the Schedule hereto, and that the continuous parking of motor-vehicles shall be restricted to a maximum period of fifteen minutes for any vehicle between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the zone of parking restriction described in clause (c) of the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE

(a) All that part of Customhouse Quay to the west of the centre-line commencing at its meeting with Waring-Taylor Street and terminating at its meeting with Panama Street; all that part of Featherston Street commencing at its meeting with Waring-Taylor Street and terminating at its meeting with Panama Street; Johnston Street; and Brandon Street.

(b) Wakefield Street; Bond Street; St. Hill Street; Farish Street; Old Customhouse Street; Lombard Street; Cornhill Street; all that part of Cuba Street commencing at its meeting with Mercer Street and terminating at its meeting with Manners Street; Luke Lane; all that part of Taranaki Street commencing at its meeting with Wakefield Street and terminating at its meeting with Courtenay Place; Courtenay Place; all that part of Tory Street commencing at its meeting with Wakefield Street and terminating at its meeting with Courtenay Place; Allen Street; Blair Street; and all that part of Oriental Parade commencing at its meeting with Wakefield Street and terminating at its meeting with Courtenay Place.

(c) All that part of Lambton Quay commencing at its meeting with Panama Street and terminating at its meeting with Customhouse Quay; Grey Street; all that part of Featherston Street commencing at its meeting with Panama Street and terminating at its meeting with Lambton Quay; Hunter Street; all that part of Customhouse Quay commencing at its meeting with Panama Street and terminating at its meeting with Lambton Quay; Post Office Square; all that part of Willis Street commencing at its meeting with Lambton Quay and terminating at its meeting with Bond Street; all that part of Willston Street commencing at its meeting with Willis Street and terminating at its meeting with Victoria Street; Chews Lane; Victoria Street; all that part of Mercer Street commencing at its meeting with Willis Street and terminating at its meeting with Victoria Street; and all that part of Jervois Quay commencing at its meeting with Panama Street and terminating at its meeting with Hunter Street.

The Schedule is more particularly delineated in plan No. TT. 1140, deposited in the office of the Commissioner of Transport at Wellington.

Election of Members of the Board of Appeal under the Public Service Act, 1912, and Amendments thereof

NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with section 35 of the Finance Act, 1947, the Commission has appointed Tuesday, the 11th day of November, 1947, to be the day on which an election will be held at Wellington for the purpose of electing members of the Public Service Board of Appeal.

Nominations in writing, by not less than three officers entitled to vote and consented to on the face of the nomination-paper and signed by the candidate, may be made on forms obtainable from the Office of the Public Service Commission, and must reach the Returning Officer, Office of the Public Service Commission, Wellington, not later than noon on the 1st day of October, 1947, being the day appointed by the Commission for such purpose.

Katikati Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., P.O. Box 46, Katikati, has applied for a licence to can fruit and vegetables.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than the 25th September, 1947, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.
