Appointment of Honorary Officers
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1946, I, James O'Brien, Minister of Marine, do hereby appoint the persons named in the following Schedule to be Honorary Officers for the acclimatization districts shown in such Schedule for the purposes of Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908, such persons to hold office until the 31st March, 1950.

Appointment of Honorary Fishery Officers
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1946, I, James O'Brien, Minister of Marine, do hereby appoint the person named hereunder to be an Honorary Fishery Officer for the purposes of Part I of the Fisheries Act, 1908, to hold office until the 31st day of March, 1950.

Appointment of Industrial Efficiency Appeal Authority under Section 10 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1942
HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint Osborne Gunning Stevens to the office of Industrial Efficiency Appeal Authority under the authority of section 10 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1942, vice the Honourable Sir Francis Vernon Frazer, resigned.

Notice of Intention to take Land in the City of Wanganui for Housing Purposes
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Wanganui and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 32·7 perches.
Being part Lot 26 on D.P. 1577 and part Section 8, Right Bank of Wanganui River.
Situated in the City of Wanganui.
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125939, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block VII, Kairanga Survey District, for a Public Works Depot
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a Public Works depot—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Palmerston North and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 39 acres 1 rood 3·4 perches.
Being Lot 13 and parts Lots 11 and 12, D.P. 1781, being part Section 527, Town of Palmerston North, and being the balance of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume 165, folio 73 (Wellington Land Registry).

Classification of Roads in Lake County
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke the Warrants described in the First Schedule hereto in so far as they relate to the classification of roads in the Lake County, and doth hereby declare that the roads described in the Second Schedule hereto and situated in the Lake County shall belong to the respective classes of roads shown in the said Second Schedule.
