At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of August, 1947

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Lower Hutt City Council on the twelfth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, viz. :

"The Lower Hutt City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Lower Hutt, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the western side of the portion of Mudie Street adjoining Lot 2 on a certain plan of subdivision prepared by P. G. Callender, Esquire, Registered Surveyor, and being a subdivision of Lots 163 and 165 on Deposited Plan No. 50, being all the land contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 58, folio 247 (Wellington Registry);

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the western side of the portion of Mudie Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE

THE western side of all that portion of street situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Lower Hutt, known as Mudie Street, fronting Lot 165, D.P. 50, being part of Section 17, Hutt District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125946, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Blenheim Borough Council on the twenty-fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, viz. :

"The Blenheim Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the roads in the Borough of Blenheim, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the eastern portion of Bomford Street, fronting the western portion of Part 11 of Section 50, District of Omaka, and contained in the Certificate of Title 35/79";

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the eastern side of the portion of Bomford Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE

THE eastern side of all that portion of street situated in the Marlborough Land District, Borough of Blenheim, known as Bomford Street, fronting part Lot 11 of Section 50, District of Omaka. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125788, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Boundaries of City of Christchurch and County of Waimairi altered

At the Government House at Wellington, this 20th day of August, 1947

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS, in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-six of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area of land be excluded from the County of Waimairi and included in the City of Christchurch:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to make such alteration of boundaries:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Waimairi and included in the City of Christchurch.

SCHEDULE

AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF WAIMAIRI AND INCLUDED IN THE CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH

ALL that area in the County of Waimairi, Canterbury Land District, situated in Block XI, Christchurch Survey District, and bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary of the City of Christchurch, such point being in the centre of the Papanui Drain and on the north-western boundary of Lot 15 on plan deposited in the Canterbury District Land Registry Office at Christchurch as No. 766, and proceeding in a north-easterly direction by the said north-western boundary of Lot 15 and the north-western boundary of Lot 16, D.P. 766 aforesaid; thence by the north-eastern boundary of said Lot 16 in a south-easterly direction to a point in the middle of the Papanui Drain on the boundary of the City of Christchurch; thence in a north-westerly direction along that boundary to the point of commencement.

ALL that area in the County of Waimate, Canterbury Land District, situated in Block XIV, Waimate Survey District, and bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary of Borough of Waimate, such point being at the intersection of the north-eastern side of Parsonage Road and the middle-line of Durham Street, proceeding north-easterly along the middle of Durham Street aforesaid to the middle of Bond Street; thence south-easterly along the middle of that street to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 178 on plan deposited in the Canterbury Land Registry Office at Christchurch as No. 352; thence to and by the north-western boundary of said Lot 178 and by the north-western boundaries of Lots 177, 176, 175, 174, 173, 172, 171, and 170 of the said Deposit Plan No. 352, and the production of that boundary to the middle of Oxford Street; thence south-easterly along the middle of Oxford Street to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 220 on Deposit Plan No. 352; thence to and by the north-western boundary of said Lot 220 and by the north-western boundaries of Lots 219, 218, 217, 216, 215, 214, 213, and 212 of said Deposit Plan No. 352, and that boundary produced to the middle of Regent Street; thence in a south-easterly direction along the middle of that street to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 251 on Deposit Plan No. 352; thence to and by the north-western boundary of said Lot 251 and by the north-western boundaries of Lots 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27 of Deposit Plan No. 138; thence in a south-easterly direction along the north-eastern boundary of said Lot 27 and that line produced to the middle of Main South Road; thence in a south-westerly direction along the middle of that road to a point on the boundary of the Borough of Waimate; thence north-westerly generally along that boundary to the point of commencement.
