PURSUANT to section one hundred and forty-nine of the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.

Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Blocks I and II, Hurakia Survey District—viz., a Deviation of Portion of the Benneydale—Maraeroa Road

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road desired to be constructed over Blocks I and II, Hurakia Survey District—viz., a deviation of portion of the Benneydale—Maraeroa Road—shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

COMMENCING at a point on the Benneydale—Maraeroa Road, marked 8 miles 40 chains on the plan hereinafter referred to, approximately 22 chains east of the western boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua 36A 2C 9 Block, and proceeding thence in an easterly direction generally for a distance of 2 miles 46 chains, more or less, and passing in, into, through, or over Rangitoto-Tuhua 36A 2C Nos. 9, 1B, and 3 Blocks (Provisional Register, Volume 53, folio 7), and Maraeroa B 2 Block (Provisional Register, Volume 185, folio 135), being State forest (New Zealand Gazette, 1935, at page 581), and terminating at a point on the aforesaid Benneydale—Maraeroa Road approximately 6 chains east of the point marked 11 miles on the said plan and approximately 70 chains east of the western boundary of the said Maraeroa B 2 Block, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Auckland Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125770, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
